Afterschool Track and Field Camp with DASH Sports
DASH Sports Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: Sprinting, javelin throwing, shotput, relay running, jumping and distance running. Campers will be tested/timed and re-tested on several events. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should bring a water bottle and wear athletic shoes.

Disco Splash! is back!Dance your heart out with our fun, high intensity aerobics class! Participants will do a combination of dance and water exercise while utilizing both shallow and deep water. Participants must pre-register online/over the phone or at the doorThis is a high impact exercise class that will have loud music playing in the background. Course is not recommended for those with limited mobility or joint issues and participants must be able to maintain balance without assistance for the duration of class.

We are now offering Open Pickleball hours at our indoor gymnasium at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center! Bring your own paddle! Game balls and nets are provided. 3 courts are available for play. For ages 18+. We now sell 5-visit punch cards that can be used at any drop-in session. Purchase an Open Pickleball Pass Card! Valid for 5 open pickleball sessions. Bring your card each time you come to class. Punch card will be given to you on your first attended open gym. One punch per person, per visit. Not responsible for lost or stolen cards. Adult Spanish for Travel (Live Online Class)

Do you have future aspirations for traveling to a Spanish speaking country? - If so, this is the class for you! Participants learn basic conversation skills to get around a Spanish-speaking country with greater ease. This class will include helpful dialogue, greetings, how to barter at a market and order in a restaurant, and how to ask for simple directions. Each class will include a travel related theme to practice real world Spanish! Like all Futura classes, a dynamic and interactive approach will be used to keep the class fun and exciting! You and your child will have fun with all kinds of balls! Learn about ways that balls move, how high they bounce and ways to use balls to play games. We'll also use thinking skills to investigate, ask questions, solve problems and make predictions using balls. This is a non-separating class. Ages 1 - 5 years as of class start date.

American Heart Association CPR, AED & First Aid

THREE OPTIONS AVAILABLE: CPR/AED Only (9:00 AM - 11:30 AM): This CPR/AED class gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies until advanced medical personnel arrive. This American Heart Association course certifies individuals in CPR/AED for adults, children and infants is nationally recognized and valid for two years. First Aid Only (11:30 AM - 2:30 PM): First Aid covers any emergency that does not require the use of CPR. Topics covered in this American Heart Association course include recognition and treatment for heart attacks, stroke, diabetic emergencies, allergic reactions as well as first aid treatments to wounds, fractures, burns and other common injuries. CPR/AED/First Aid (9:00 AM - 2:30 PM): This class combines CPR, AED and First Aid Training into one convenient session. Lay Responder CPR/AED with First Aid teaches the skills necessary to recognize and provide immediate care for breathing problems, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until medical personnel arrive. Participants will be certified by the American Heart Association for: Standard First Aid and CPR/AED for adults, children and infants. This course meets the Rule 2 and 3 requirements for childcare providers. Intended Audience: Teachers, Daycare Providers, Coaches, Office Workers, new parents, or anyone who wants or needs to learn the life-saving skills of CPR and are not a healthcare professional (healthcare professionals are required to take the more advanced BLS Healthcare Provider CPR course). Feel free to bring a lunch or snack. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. Join us for five action-packed days as Young Rembrandts hosts a wonderful Anime and Manga Drawing Workshop. Friendship Connection
Friendship Connection is the district's school-age childcare program that provides care before and after school, on non-school days, and during the summer. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and offer our students opportunities in areas such as science, engineering, creative arts, cooking, sports/fitness, language arts, and technology. Registration for School Year 2024 - 25 is currently open. Registration for School Year 2025-26 and Summer 2025 is now open. Registration is now full for summer 2025 at Falcon Heights. If you would like to be placed on our waitlist for that site, please email victoria.greene@isd623.org. We recommend registering for another site while you are on the waitlist in order to ensure you have care. **Please inquire about open sites for School Year 2024-25 as some sites are currently on waitlists due to staffing. You may still submit a registration to be added to the site's waiting list. Please ensure you have sent any additional information required/are paid in full, so when we are able to approve registrations, we are able to process yours expeditiously. All registrations will take time to process. We will contact you if your registration is on hold due to staffing. If your site is on a waitlist due to staffing, you may still submit your registration and we will contact you with the potential start date (if staffing is available) or an update regarding the site you are enrolled at.

Beginner Spanish Boost! (Live Online Class)

Kickstart your Spanish journey with this engaging summer course, perfect for beginners! Designed for those with little to no experience, you'll learn essential vocabulary, basic grammar, and practical phrases for everyday conversations. Through group discussions and break out conversation practices, you'll build confidence in speaking and understanding Spanish. Our experienced instructors will guide you in every step of the way, setting you up for continued success. Beginner Watercolor Painting II
Art
This class is an extension of Beginning Watercolor I. In this class you will continue with beginning watercolor exercises that were learned in the Beginning I class. You can expect to complete 3-4 paintings. This class is open to any student that has taken the first beginning class from me and anyone who has a basic/general knowledge of watercolor painting. Supply list can be found here. Course Objective: Plan to experiment and explore the next level of traditional water color painting techniques – In this cases we will be continuing with the lessons from Beginning I class. This class is meant for those who have experience in watercolor painting. Our goal is to have at least 3 excellent paintings by the end of the session. Plan to have at least one group critique about mid way through the session. Please come prepared to discuss: what art is for you, what makes a good painting, why you want to be a painter, your interest, hobbies, and just all around conversations. Our first day: We will have brief introductions to include a discussion about our artistic styles. We will discuss what subjects we would like to paint, what specific painting style you would like to explore and other great insights that may arise.

Beginning Band Camp

For students who have completed 4th grade. After two weeks of daily lessons, five days a week, a beginning instrumentalist will be playing a rousing march with precision! Each day, students participate in music theory, band rehearsal, and a recreational period. It’s a great time to make new friends! Attendance the first week of camp is required. Contact your school’s band teacher if this is a problem. Instrument assignments will be sent out during the week of May 5th. If you register before then, please note that your assignment may be subject to change.

Birch Tree Resist Paintings
Art
Learn how to paint the perfect woodland scene, featuring birch trees and accompanying leaves, using a few simple techniques and materials. You will be guided, step-by step, through the painting process and be introduced to the art terms and techniques related to this project. Birthday Party Packages at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center
Special Interest
Host your child's next birthday party with us at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center! Your party will have access to the new Aŋpétu Téča Education Center gymnasium and one community room for gifts and cake. Let's get this party started! If you have any questions before reserving your package, feel free to call or email us! $200 Package: Have up to 20 guests! (Adult/parent supervision is required at all times.) Your party will have access to a private community room rental for presents, cake, and celebration! Tables and chairs will be provided by us. Your party will get exclusive access to our gymnasium for up to 3 hours, including set-up time! Choose from basketballs, dodgeballs, soccer balls, or hula hoops/jump ropes for your party to play with! For an extra fee, you can add on: $100 for an extra hour of party time. $25 for additional equipment rental. To complete your registration, please contact our registration desk at 651-604-3770. Please reach out to schedule birthday parties by the 15th of the month prior in order to help us ensure staffing for your event date and determine if there are any scheduling conflicts. Example: For a February 8th party, please schedule with us by January 15th. You can still request a party after that timeline, but please know that availability may be more limited.
