Friendship Connection
Friendship Connection is the district's school-age childcare program that provides care before and after school, on non-school days, and during the summer. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and offer our students opportunities in areas such as science, engineering, creative arts, cooking, sports/fitness, language arts, and technology. Registration for School Year 2024 - 25 is currently open. Registration for School Year 2025-26 and Summer 2025 is now open. Registration is now full for summer 2025 at Falcon Heights. **Please inquire about open sites for School Year 2024-25 as some sites are currently on waitlists due to staffing. You may still submit a registration to be added to the site's waiting list. Please ensure you have sent any additional information required/are paid in full, so when we are able to approve registrations, we are able to process yours expeditiously. All registrations will take time to process. We will contact you if your registration is on hold due to staffing. Beginner American Sign Language 4 - Deepening Connections

Advance to the next level of your ASL journey with Beginner ASL 4. Building upon the strong foundation you've already acquired, this course aims to introduce you to ASL grammatical structure and classifiers. We'll focus on enhancing your receptive and expressive skills to achieve a higher level of fluency and explore ASL storytelling and visual vernacular. Prerequisite: Beginner ASL 3 Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. Beginner Watercolor Painting II
Art
This class is an extension of Beginning Watercolor I. In this class you will continue with beginning watercolor exercises that were learned in the Beginning I class. You can expect to complete 3-4 paintings. This class is open to any student that has taken the first beginning class from me and anyone who has a basic/general knowledge of watercolor painting. Supply list can be found here. Course Objective: Plan to experiment and explore the next level of traditional water color painting techniques – In this cases we will be continuing with the lessons from Beginning I class. This class is meant for those who have experience in watercolor painting. Our goal is to have at least 3 excellent paintings by the end of the session. Plan to have at least one group critique about mid way through the session. Please come prepared to discuss: what art is for you, what makes a good painting, why you want to be a painter, your interest, hobbies, and just all around conversations. Our first day: We will have brief introductions to include a discussion about our artistic styles. We will discuss what subjects we would like to paint, what specific painting style you would like to explore and other great insights that may arise.

Birch Tree Resist Paintings
Art
Learn how to paint the perfect woodland scene, featuring birch trees and accompanying leaves, using a few simple techniques and materials. You will be guided, step-by step, through the painting process and be introduced to the art terms and techniques related to this project. Friends and family will be impressed by everything you learn, and create in this one-time nature-themed workshop! Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. Birthday Party Packages at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center
Special Interest
Host your child's next birthday party with us at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center! Your party will have access to the new Aŋpétu Téča Education Center gymnasium and one community room for gifts and cake. Let's get this party started! If you have any questions before reserving your package, feel free to call or email us! $225 Package: Have up to 20 guests! (Adult/parent supervision is required at all times.) Your party will have access to a private community room rental for presents, cake, and celebration! Tables and chairs will be provided by us. Your party will get exclusive access to our gymnasium for up to 3 hours, including set-up time! Choose from basketballs, dodgeballs, soccer balls, or hula hoops/jump ropes for your party to play with! For an extra fee, you can add on: $100 for an extra hour of party time. $25 for additional equipment rental. To complete your registration, please contact our registration desk at 651-604-3770. Please reach out to schedule birthday parties by the 15th of the month prior in order to help us ensure staffing for your event date and determine if there are any scheduling conflicts. Example: For a February 8th party, please schedule with us by January 15th. You can still request a party after that timeline, but please know that availability may be more limited.

Bites & Builds: Tiny Taste Buds + Mini Maker Lab

Tiny Taste Buds is FULL AM/ PM Camp only registration includes 3 hours of themed activities. Full day option includes both AM and PM Camps and "Lets Do Lunch at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center"- a supervised lunch, recess and optional rest time. We require all children to be fully potty trained to participate in camps. This means they can go to the bathroom and clean up independently. AM Camp Only 9:00am-12:00pm Tiny Taste Buds: In Tiny Taste Buds, preschoolers will mix, stir, and create simple, tasty treats while learning about healthy foods, colors, textures, and flavors. From making fruit kabobs to decorating cookies, this camp is all about discovering the joy of cooking and building confidence in the kitchen. Your little one will have a blast as they taste, create, and share delicious moments with new friends! PM Camp Only 1:00pm-4:00pm Mini Maker Lab: In this camp kids will explore their creativity by using simple materials like blocks, cardboard, and recycled items to make fun projects like towers, cars, and colorful crafts. Each day, they’ll take on fun challenges that spark teamwork and imagination while learning about basic ideas like balance, shapes, and motion. It’s the perfect place for little makers to explore, create, and have a blast! Cardboard Invention Convention with Now. Make. Art

It starts with a question- what’s a problem you want to solve? Students delve into finding solutions to issues they see in the world. Chess Camp: Tactics & Strategies with CSGA

Standard chess and variations will be used to improve your skills. Participants should be interested in a deeper level of instruction beyond the basics.

Challenge your mind and body this summer! Campers will learn chess and play matches that make their brains sweat. They'll also play a variety of physical games to keep their bodies active! Chess skills will cover the beginner to intermediate player and physical games may include badminton, pickleball, tag games, and other indoor/outdoor games based on the ability level of the campers.

Coconuts and Crowns Drawing with Young Rembrandts

Discover the beauty of Polynesia through drawing! In this 4-day workshop, children will create original characters like a spirited island girl and cheeky coconut creatures, as well as traditional Polynesian flower crowns. Artists will also illustrate breathtaking ocean scenes with Waʻa Kaulua boats and the serene landscapes of island huts and native plants. This workshop blends realism with cartoons, using vibrant no-mess materials like colored pencils and markers. Let the islands inspire your young artist! Competitive Swim Camp

The Roseville Competitive Summer Swim Camp is designed for students grades 6-12 who have competitive swim experience. Swimming experience may be from being on the Roseville High School Swim team or another program like a club swim team or the YMCA swim team. Every 1.5 hour practice includes 30 minutes of "dryland" and one hour in the pool. Dryland workouts focus on flexibility, strength and overall athleticism, while swim workouts will focus on endurance, technique and swimming speed. Participants should, at a minimum, be able to complete 100 yards of swimming in two minutes without a break and be able to do land activities like running, jumping, pushups and sit-ups safely. These sessions are a perfect opportunity for competitive swimmers who want to begin the high school season in shape or to bridge the gap between spring and fall sports. Swim Camp will be coached by Michael Richards, RAHS Boys Swimming and former RAHS Girls Swimming and Diving athlete, Greta Wiskus. June Session July Session Early Bird Price - $180 (Ends May 9th) Early Bird Price - $240 (Ends June 13th) Regular Price - $200 Regular Price - $260 There is no possibility to pro-rate fees, switch or make-up dates. Students must be registered prior to arriving on the pool deck, payment and registration will not be accepted on the Parkview pool deck or at Parkview Center School.

Each day, kids will dive into exciting stories, hands-on games, and creative activities that teach essential social skills like sharing, problem-solving, and expressing feelings. PM Camp Only 1:00pm-4:00pm Heroic Hearts Get ready to be a hero! In Heroic Hearts, preschoolers will learn about kindness, teamwork, and managing emotions with the help of their favorite superheroes! Each day, kids will join PJ Masks, Paw Patrol, and Spidey and Friends for fun activities and games that teach how to be a good friend, solve problems, and show empathy. It’s a superhero adventure where little ones build confidence, develop social skills, and have a blast!
