Create a cozy home for insects using natural materials like sticks, pinecones, leaves, and bark! Kids will learn how bugs help our environment by giving them a safe space to live and rest. Stack materials inside a box or plastic bottle with holes, then place it outside in a shady garden spot. This hands-on project encourages curiosity about nature and supports local pollinators and decomposers!
This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Students participating in these classes will check in with Friendship Connection, receive a snack, and have a brief recess before class begins.
