Calling all young artists and storytellers! In this hands-on class, kids will explore the magical world of puppetry through art. They’ll design, build and bring their own puppets to life using a variety of materials.

Let's make some noise and have fun hitting big drums! Taiko is movement infused, heart-pounding, dynamic group drumming. Think of it as a high energy performance art that combines music, dance, athletics, and culture. If you can count to four, you are set! Originally Japanese, taiko now is a global art form. Create accessories as unique as you are! Students will design and assemble bracelets, earrings, and other wearable art using beads, shrinky dinks, and other colorful materials. Each creation will be a reflection of their personal style, ready to wear or gift.

Instructor Jay Rupp prefers to paint with people who have no experience painting, don't want to paint, and who can't draw a stick figure. If you are one of the “anti-artist” types, you will have the most fun and be the most amazed! If your painting turns out really nice, (as I am sure it will) you may want to paint more paintings similar to your original masterpiece. If you are an experienced artist, welcome. There is always much to learn. The “Winter Wonderland” may be the highlight of your year! The painting will be in oil which is quite easy to work with. I will supply all the materials that you will need including paints, 16X20 inch canvas and painting supplies. Your painting will be ready for you to frame and put on your wall at home when you finish. (The Oil painting will take 4 weeks to dry but can still be put into the frame of your choice and hung immediately on your favorite wall). Frames will be available at the class. An aesthetic art that mixes different cultures and artistic expression into organic elements and nature with intricate patterns. Grow your creativity one bead at a time! Students will twist wire and colorful beads into intricate miniature trees that shimmer in the light. These unique sculptures make perfect room décor or heartfelt gifts.

Savor the flavors of Brazil with Chef Mimi's Coconut Chicken with steamed veggie or rice recipe! Omelets, french toast, muffins, burritos…. breakfast can be the yummiest meal of the day! Learn how to make easy breakfast dishes to share with your family. By the end of the week participants will have gained some culinary skills and tasted some delicious dishes!

Be guided in ancient and timeless yogic techniques of pranayama and gentle kriya, accessing the power of the breath and life force energy to reduce stress and tension, calm the systems of the body, improve concentration, sleep quality and your overall sense of presence and well being. Bring your art to light! Students will follow a Turkish design to decorate a mosaic lamp using colorful tiles, glass pieces, and adhesive techniques. Once lit, their lamp will glow beautifully, making it the perfect display piece for home.

In this hands-on course, students will explore the fundamentals of graphic design and visual storytelling.Through guided projects and creative freedom, they'll learn how to design eye-catching digital cards, posters, presentations, and short videos.

Let's see what we can make with cardboard! Giant mazes, castles, games, or something the world has never seen before- it's up to you. Come see how versatile this everyday material really is as we get creative with cardboard!
