School age child care located in all the district elementary schools.
In this activity, students get to imagine a different conclusion for a story they’ve read. After discussing the original ending, they brainstorm new ways the story could finish—maybe the hero makes a different choice, a problem is solved in a creative way, or a surprising twist happens. Students can write their alternate ending as a short story, comic strip, or illustrated scene. This activity encourages creativity, critical thinking, and deeper understanding of the story’s plot and characters
This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school.
Each school receives one free class as part of our commitment to equity. These offerings are designed specifically to increase access for students who attend that school, especially those who may not have the financial means to participate in enrichment.
To support this purpose, free classes are reserved for students enrolled at the hosting school.
