Afterschool Track and Field Camp with DASH Sports
DASH Sports Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: Sprinting, javelin throwing, shotput, relay running, jumping and distance running. Campers will be tested/timed and re-tested on several events. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should bring a water bottle and wear athletic shoes.

Disco Splash! is back!Dance your heart out with our fun, high intensity aerobics class! Participants will do a combination of dance and water exercise while utilizing both shallow and deep water. Participants must pre-register online/over the phone or at the doorThis is a high impact exercise class that will have loud music playing in the background. Course is not recommended for those with limited mobility or joint issues and participants must be able to maintain balance without assistance for the duration of class.

Field Trip Fridays! - Pool Party
ECFE Summer 2024-25
Connect with other families and ECFE staff as we enjoy this time together! Caregivers/parents are responsible for transportation to the field trip and supervision of their children during the entire time at the site. ECFE staff will meet you at the site. This is a non-separating field trip. Ages Birth - 5 years and their siblings up to 12 years as of the field trip date. Register all children that will attend. June 27: Pool Party at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center, 1910 County Rd B W, Roseville, MN 55113 class #506b * Pool Information: The pool is about 86 degrees and is 3ft 6in - 5ft. deep Parents must swim in the pool with your children Swimmers are allowed to use USCG approved life jackets and puddle jumpers (those that go across the chest and buckle in the back) Flotation devices that are inflatable are not allowed Swimmers not yet potty-trained will need to wear a swim diaper and a plastic diaper cover that has an elastic band around the waist and legs Information will be shared about water safety Meet in the hallway outside the locker rooms at 9:45am

In each Minnesotan’s life, there are five people we should be prepared to count on as we age and move into the last stages of our lives. In this class we will learn the answers to: What are the roles and responsibilities of these people? How long do they serve and how much of a time commitment are we asking? How much guidance can we give them? Who makes an ideal selection for each of these vastly different roles? Who makes a bad selection for these roles? What pitfalls and problems should we be aware of? Each of these jobs: Attorney-In-Fact, Health Care Agent, Estate Executor, Trustee and Guardian are vastly different jobs that benefit you and they deserve careful thought. Freeze Fresh - Fruits and Vegetables

Freezing is one of the easiest and most effective ways to preserve the fresh taste and nutrients of fruits and vegetables—when done correctly. It’s a safer and more convenient alternative to canning and can help you save money by extending the life of homegrown produce, farmers' market finds, and grocery store deals. In this class, you will learn essential freezing techniques, including which foods require blanching, how to prevent freezer burn, the best storage containers to use, ideal freezer conditions, and additional tips for preserving produce year-round.

Friendship Connection
Friendship Connection is the district's school-age childcare program that provides care before and after school, on non-school days, and during the summer. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and offer our students opportunities in areas such as science, engineering, creative arts, cooking, sports/fitness, language arts, and technology. Registration for School Year 2024 - 25 is currently open. Registration for School Year 2025-26 and Summer 2025 is now open. Registration is now full for summer 2025 at Falcon Heights. If you would like to be placed on our waitlist for that site, please email victoria.greene@isd623.org. We recommend registering for another site while you are on the waitlist in order to ensure you have care. **Please inquire about open sites for School Year 2024-25 as some sites are currently on waitlists due to staffing. You may still submit a registration to be added to the site's waiting list. Please ensure you have sent any additional information required/are paid in full, so when we are able to approve registrations, we are able to process yours expeditiously. All registrations will take time to process. We will contact you if your registration is on hold due to staffing. If your site is on a waitlist due to staffing, you may still submit your registration and we will contact you with the potential start date (if staffing is available) or an update regarding the site you are enrolled at.

Galaxy Movie Making & Coding Camp with Tech Academy

From a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars comes to life! Work on a stop-motion animated Star Wars short. Students will create and design out-of-this-world scenes, vehicles, starships, and props. Then, our instructors will take students through the entire digital filmmaking process from start to finish. Students will create a Star Wars animation and participate in other Star Wars-themed coding activities. Students should have basic reading skills. Bring a USB drive on the last day. Group Perceptual Silence in “The Quietest Place on Earth”

Experience a silent, dark group session in the Orfield Anechoic Chamber, known as “The Quietest Place on Earth” (Guinness 2005, 2012, 2021). Defined as a room that is 100% sound-absorbent, Orfield’s chamber has been recognized internationally for its level of silence, measuring at an average of -13 dBA, with a current record of -24.9 dBA. Regarded by thousands of guests as the most peaceful of places, the chamber has become a place of silence and meditation for people visiting from all over the world. Note: These 1-hour sessions accommodate 5 people in the chamber at once. All participants are asked to remain in the chamber for the full hour, uninterrupted, while remaining quiet and still.
