Unleash your creativity and craftsmanship while you create a one-of-a-kind piece of wooden mosaic art in this hands-on workshop! In this session, students will craft a beautiful Mosaic Star from pre-cut wooden pieces. Whether you choose a rustic, modern, or whimsical style, your creation will reflect your personality since you'll have the freedom to paint or stain each piece to your liking. Once decorated, the pieces will be carefully arranged and assembled into a striking star-shaped mosaic using wood glue and a pin nailer. Do you want to make gorgeous one-of-a-kind ornaments for your tree or as an incredible gift? Join this class, to make 4 beautiful Alcohol Ink (AI) glass Glitter Ornaments After prepping the ornaments, the instructor will discuss and demo various processes of working with AI. Then you will pick colors of your choice to create unique ornament for yourself or as a gift. Note: Each ornament can reflect the same color scheme or each ornament can be a different color scheme. Totally your choice! The ornaments are painted on the inside so the colors will last forever. Supply fee payable to instructor the night of class: $20. All About Seeds (Online Class)

Seeds are the foundation of a garden. This class is all about seeds and you will learn about choosing seeds, growing seeds, and saving seeds. This class is offered by the U of M Extension Master Gardener volunteers of Ramsey County, who are eager to share research-based gardening best practices with the people in their community. All Occasion Card Class
Art
In this class, you will create 25 all-occasion cards (five cards of five different designs). All materials will be cut and ready for you to stamp and assemble. Materials, envelopes and tools for you to create all 25 cards are included with registration. However, participants WILL NEED to bring their own adhesive (double stick tape, tape runner, glue stick) which can be found at most craft stores, or I will have some available for purchase the night of class. Cards may include birthday, sympathy, thank you or blank cards for your choice of sentiment. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. American Red Cross CPR, AED & First Aid

THREE OPTIONS AVAILABLE: CPR/AED Only (9:00 AM - 11:30 AM): This CPR/AED class gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies until advanced medical personnel arrive. This American Red Cross course certifies individuals in CPR/AED for adults, children and infants is nationally recognized and valid for two years. First Aid Only (11:30 AM - 2:30 PM): First Aid covers any emergency that does not require the use of CPR. Topics covered in this American Red Cross course include recognition and treatment for heart attacks, stroke, diabetic emergencies, allergic reactions as well as first aid treatments to wounds, fractures, burns and other common injuries. CPR/AED/First Aid (9:00 AM - 2:30 PM): This class combines CPR, AED and First Aid Training into one convenient session. Lay Responder CPR/AED with First Aid teaches the skills necessary to recognize and provide immediate care for breathing problems, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until medical personnel arrive. Participants will be certified by the American Red Cross for: Standard First Aid and CPR/AED for adults, children and infants. This course meets the Rule 2 and 3 requirements for childcare providers. Intended Audience: Teachers, Daycare Providers, Coaches, Office Workers, new parents, or anyone who wants or needs to learn the life-saving skills of CPR and are not a healthcare professional (healthcare professionals are required to take the more advanced BLS Healthcare Provider CPR course). Feel free to bring a lunch or snack. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. ACE Health Coach, Mia Bremer, will share tools she's learned from both personal experience and years of experience coaching people living with mental health disorders . Appetizers - Quick, Easy and Enticing

We'll create more than 20 appetizers that require less than 20 minutes from start to finish. You can serve these appetizers as a first course or a snack for family and friends. You could even create a complete buffet! Our selections will include recipes for spreads, hearty appetizers, dips, dippers, nibbles, hot appetizers, and more. Celebrate the colors of fall with apple printing! In this fun and creative art activity, students will cut apples in half and use them as stamps to create beautiful, textured prints on paper. After dipping the apple halves in paint and stamping their designs, they’ll add stems and leaves to complete their fall-themed masterpieces.

You'll begin by preparing delicious egg rolls stuffed with pork, shrimp and vegetables served with both hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce for dipping. You'll then prepare fried rice using chicken, shrimp, fresh vegetables, and the secret sauce. Classic pork chow mein follows served with crispy egg noodles along with egg foo young made with both, chicken and shrimp. We’ll finish this extravaganza with a delightful lemon custard tort. Basic Home Repair - Electrical

Learn about the basic home electrical system with this Hands-on class. We will review different gauges of wire, application and discuss proper techniques for stripping wire, attaching to outlets, switches and light fixtures. You will wire up a circuit with single pole & 3-way switches, outlet and light fixture. Then we will test the circuit with proper testing equipment. Bring straight & Phillips screwdrivers, long nose pliers and wire stripping pliers to class if you have them. Handouts provided with the class.
