This course focuses on water skills for children ages 3 to 5 that are ready to swim on their own! Students will build on their water skills and grow their independence. Promoting water safety from a young age will help to keep your child safe as they become more self-confident and believe in their abilities. Skills taught: Enter & Exit water from side Blow bubbles with nose (humming) Bobbing Front float for 3+ seconds Back float for 3+ seconds Jelly fish float for 3+ seconds Roll from back to front Roll from front to back Front glide (one body length) Back glide (one body length) “Scooping” and kicking on front 5 feet Flutter kicking on back 5 feet Elementary backstroke arms 5 feet (w/ support) Swim, Float, Swim 10 feet (w/ support) Jump in (w/ support) Follows Directions Water Safety Skills Note: Students who are still working on potty training MUST wear appropriate swim diapers and plastic covers. Students will be turned away if not wearing the appropriate swim diapers/covers.Parents MUST remain in the building during lessons and should stay within eyesight of the pool for quick contact if needed.

Looking for a fun friend group activity, or a romantic date night just in time for Valentine’s Day? Join us at this prom for adults! Whether you have fond, nostalgic feelings for your senior prom or didn’t have the chance to attend prom at all, you’re sure to have a grand evening at this event. Dig out your best suit or dress and get ready to dance and party! Tuxedos, suits, sport coats, new or old outfits, formal dresses, bridesmaid dresses, sundresses - anything goes. Your admission includes the dance, a live DJ, tasty snacks, and a photo booth! Must be age 18 or older to attend. Transform your kitchen into a seafood haven with the convenience of an air fryer! In this live online class Kirsten will use air fryers to demonstrate Glazed Salmon 3 Ways, Gnocchi with Shrimp and Tomatoes, Mini Tuna Casseroles, and more! You'll also explore creative sauces that complement your seafood creations perfectly. Air Fryer Vegetables (Online Class)

Using an Air Fryer to cook vegetables is quick—and the healthy results are delicious! In this live online class Kirsten will demonstrate a variety of recipes using in-season local and/or commonly available vegetables including Lemon Pepper Broccoli, Miso Sesame Kale Chips, and Roasted Sweet Potatoes. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. There will be ample time for questions during the session, and participants will receive a link to the recording afterwards so you can cook along at your convenience. Alcohol Ink - Abstract Flower in Vase

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at Abstract Art that is fun and Colorful? Alcohol Ink (AI) is a new painting technique that just screams ABSTRACT. First, you will create an outline of a vase in any shape you want. Then you will use AI ink with your choice of colors to fill in the vase. Use your imagination! Then you will create the funky flowers by putting down drop of any AI color and blowing it out with an airbrush. You will be laughing at how the different color combination create a unique look. Best part – if you don’t like a part of your picture, you can wipe it off with ISO alcohol. You will use markers to create stems and leaves. Once your flower picture is complete, you can make a second picture or play on your own. Your instructor will have ideas. $15 supply fee payable to instructor the night of class. Alcohol Ink - Fantasy Garden

Ever wanted to dive into the world of vibrant Abstract Art? Alcohol Ink (AI) is a new painting technique that screams ABSTRACT. With so many different techniques, AI is sure to become one of your favorite mediums. In this class, you’ll start by choosing your favorite colors to create a stunning background. Then, using a hand blower, you’ll bring beautiful flowers to life on your canvas. Your instructor will guide you through each step of the process, ensuring you feel supported and inspired. You’ll create one 8” x 11” masterpiece in your selected colors, and if time allows, you can experiment with a second painting, adding your own variations. Come ready to have fun and unleash your creativity! The best part? If you’re not satisfied with any part of your artwork, simply wipe it away with ISO alcohol and start fresh. Let’s get colorful! Alcohol Ink - Roses
Art
Have you ever wanted to try your hand at Abstract Art that is fun and Colorful? Alcohol Ink (AI) is a new painting technique that just screams ABSTRACT. With so many different techniques, AI will soon become a favorite medium. To make these beautiful roses, you will be using a hairdryer to move the alcohol ink around the edges until the ink dries leaving beautiful roses with abstract petals. To add variation, you can add a background before you add the roses, add leaves or melt the colors. Utilize various colors for your individual painting. Remember this is the fun part – explore your creativity. Your instructor will help guide you through each step. You will make one 6” x 9” painting in your chosen colors. Given time, you can create a 2nd painting. Just come to have fun and enjoy yourself. Best part of using Alcohol Ink is if you don’t like a part of your picture, you can wipe it off with ISO alcohol. All Occasion Card Class
Art
In this class we will be creating 25 all occasion cards (five cards of five different designs). I will provide all the materials (envelopes are also included in class materials) and tools for you to create 25 beautiful cards. Some classes include sympathy, thank you, birthday, thinking of you or blank cards for your choice of sentiment. Participants will need to bring their own adhesive, or I will have some to purchase on the night of class. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. In this camp we will learn all about Martin Luther King Jr the great civil rights leader and his legacy. After we will create an MLK Mural to hang up for all to see in our school!

American Heart Association CPR, AED & First Aid

THREE OPTIONS AVAILABLE: CPR/AED Only (9:00 AM - 11:30 AM): This CPR/AED class gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies until advanced medical personnel arrive. This American Heart Association course certifies individuals in CPR/AED for adults, children and infants is nationally recognized and valid for two years. First Aid Only (11:30 AM - 2:30 PM): First Aid covers any emergency that does not require the use of CPR. Topics covered in this American Heart Association course include recognition and treatment for heart attacks, stroke, diabetic emergencies, allergic reactions as well as first aid treatments to wounds, fractures, burns and other common injuries. CPR/AED/First Aid (9:00 AM - 2:30 PM): This class combines CPR, AED and First Aid Training into one convenient session. Lay Responder CPR/AED with First Aid teaches the skills necessary to recognize and provide immediate care for breathing problems, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until medical personnel arrive. Participants will be certified by the American Heart Association for: Standard First Aid and CPR/AED for adults, children and infants. This course meets the Rule 2 and 3 requirements for childcare providers. Intended Audience: Teachers, Daycare Providers, Coaches, Office Workers, new parents, or anyone who wants or needs to learn the life-saving skills of CPR and are not a healthcare professional (healthcare professionals are required to take the more advanced BLS Healthcare Provider CPR course). Avoid the Pitfalls of Perimenopause & Menopause (Online Class)

Perimenopause starts around the age of 35 for most women and can last 10-15 years. Common symptoms include fatigue, migraines, weight gain, water retention, depression, sleep disturbances, joint aches, hot flashes, anger flashes, migraines, fibroids, exaggerated PMS and more. Once you understand exactly what is causing all the troublesome symptoms, they are much easier to correct. We’ll discuss how to get hormone levels measured - blood test vs. saliva test and what to do with the results; traditional HRT vs. bio-identical; acupressure points to assist in symptom relief and nutritional musts. You’ll leave with multiple tools and techniques for restoring health and well-being. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. With the expert guidance of three-time ballroom dance champion Monica Mohn, you'll be dancing before you know it.

Basic Home Repair - Electrical
Home & Family
Learn about the basic home electrical system with this Hands-on class. We will review different gauges of wire, application and discuss proper techniques for stripping wire, attaching to outlets, switches and light fixtures. You will wire up a circuit with single pole & 3-way switches, outlet and light fixture. Then we will test the circuit with proper testing equipment. Bring straight & Phillips screwdrivers, long nose pliers and wire stripping pliers to class if you have them. Handouts provided with the class. Gain confidence by learning to repair minor plumbing problems or replace fixtures yourself. We will review metal & plastic pipe, valves and fittings.
