This is a low-impact, intensive aerobic workout in shallow water that utilizes the resistance of the water and equipment to strengthen, tone, and stretch muscles.Participants must be able to maintain balance without assistance for the duration of class.

These aquatics sessions are designed for children ages 9 months to 5 years old! Children are accompanied by a parent or adult in the pool as they learn to enjoy and explore the water.Promoting water safety from a young age will help to keep your child safe as they become more self-confident and believe in their abilities. The pool can also provide a lot of entertainment and enjoyment for young ones!Please note: A minimum of one adult per child is required to be in the water.

American Heart Association CPR, AED & First Aid

THREE OPTIONS AVAILABLE: CPR/AED Only (9:00 AM - 11:30 AM): This CPR/AED class gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies until advanced medical personnel arrive. This American Heart Association course certifies individuals in CPR/AED for adults, children and infants is nationally recognized and valid for two years. First Aid Only (11:30 AM - 2:30 PM): First Aid covers any emergency that does not require the use of CPR. Topics covered in this American Heart Association course include recognition and treatment for heart attacks, stroke, diabetic emergencies, allergic reactions as well as first aid treatments to wounds, fractures, burns and other common injuries. CPR/AED/First Aid (9:00 AM - 2:30 PM): This class combines CPR, AED and First Aid Training into one convenient session. Lay Responder CPR/AED with First Aid teaches the skills necessary to recognize and provide immediate care for breathing problems, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until medical personnel arrive. Participants will be certified by the American Heart Association for: Standard First Aid and CPR/AED for adults, children and infants. This course meets the Rule 2 and 3 requirements for childcare providers. Intended Audience: Teachers, Daycare Providers, Coaches, Office Workers, new parents, or anyone who wants or needs to learn the life-saving skills of CPR and are not a healthcare professional (healthcare professionals are required to take the more advanced BLS Healthcare Provider CPR course). Feel free to bring a lunch or snack.

This session will inspire participants to make simple changes in their daily lives that increase the resiliency of our environment, both internal (mind and body) and external (home, community, state, country and the world). This class offers creative and sustainable solutions that support a thriving future for ourselves and our environment. The ideal participant is anyone curious about changes they can make to support healing (themselves, family, environment, world). FallProof! Workshop

The ability to improve your balance and reduce fall risks is in your hands. And it is never too late. Mia Bremer is a Master Balance and Mobility Specialist who teaches FallProof! This program was developed at the Center for Successful Aging at California State Fullerton where Mia has taught the program to professionals across the country. This workshop will teach you why our risk for falling increases as we age, as well as exercises and strategies we can use to reduce those risks. This is an interactive workshop – you will be practicing skills and taking home useful information that can save you from a trip to the floor. You will also learn what to do if you end up there!

Feet First - Start at the Bottom If You Want to Feel Tip-Top

This class is about more than foot care. It’s about feet mechanics, as a way of travel, as the first defense in balance and fall prevention and, sometimes, as the source of pain and frustration. Mia Bremer is a fitness specialist who specializes in older adult fitness. She will talk about, and let you feel and notice, how exercise, myofascial release, foot massage techniques and even the shoes you choose can all alter the way you walk and comfort in which you do it.

Goal Setting with WOOP (Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, and Plan)

WOOP is a science-based mental strategy that people can use to find and fulfill their wishes, set preferences, and change their habits. WOOP has better research behind it than SMART goals and yet most people have never heard of WOOP. Kim Rice will help you learn how to use WOOP in this engaging and practical course. You’ll learn how the obstacles that we think most impede us from fulfilling our wishes can actually help us to realize them. WOOP instructs us to dream our future dreams but then to imagine what obstacles inside ourselves prevent us from achieving these dreams. In research studies, WOOP has helped people reduce stress and increase work engagement, find integrative solutions to problems, and improve time management. Children and adolescents using WOOP improved school attendance as well as effort and achievement in school.

Until imbalances are corrected, trying to lose weight will be like shoveling sand against the tide. We’ll discuss which hormones are involved and what can be done to correct imbalances; concrete solutions for controlling appetite and cravings; major sources of hormone mimicking chemicals and how to get rid of them; what HRT or birth control pills have to do with weight gain; how to have your hormone levels checked reliably; what steps need to be taken to safely break the vicious cycle of hormone related weight gain.
