Sourdough Starter Workshop *NEW!*
Learn how to care/maintain a sourdough starter, observe a bread dough making demonstration, and get answers to the most common questions made while making sourdough. You will get ALL of Sandra's tips/tricks associated with sourdough bread making focused on keeping the process simple and manageable for anyone interested in making sourdough bread. This 90 minute in-person Sourdough Starter workshop includes a fresh active starter and printed copy of the essential information for each registered participant. This program offers a crash course in coding your own games on Scratch. Students will create and develop 3-4 basic games while learning many foundational computer science skills with boundless potential for creativity and expansion. Apply your Scratch coding skills to robotics or continue creating games. Test your robots by solving specific challenge problems generated during the program! Emotional Release for Inner Peace (Online Class)

Inner peace is impossible to maintain while we still hold on to the very feelings and beliefs that keep us from being peaceful to begin with. Trapped negative emotions like fear, anger and sorrow can disrupt the flow of vital energy in our bodies and actually sabotage our inner peace. In this single evening course, you will learn simple yet effective techniques for getting in touch with, understanding, accepting and releasing the emotions that keep us from ourselves. Personal Interest
Curious to learn more about the faith practice of your Muslim neighbors? After attending this class, expect to have a deeper understanding of the beliefs, practices, and history of the most diverse religious community in America. The focus of this class is education, bridge-building, and dialogue-based approach to learning more about the lived experiences of Minnesota Muslims. Topics covered will include demographics, basic terminology, and some of the deep connections Muslims have with other Minnesota faith communities. Topics will include Parts A, B, C, & D of Medicare, the application process, estimated costs, supplements, MAPD, and the right time to sign up. This an ideal course for those who are turning 65, those who are over 65 and coming off their employer medical plan, and those who are currently enrolled in Medicare. Express Yourself! Journaling Club
Special Interest
Students will get their own journals to decorate, write and draw in. We’ll have some themed pages like “all about me” and “inspiration board” pages. We’ll also provide students with writing prompts as well as free-writing time for our sessions. This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Students participating in these classes will check in with Friendship Connection, receive a snack, and have a brief recess before class begins.

FIRST LEGO League Explore - Archaeology Adventure

Calling all curious 2nd–4th graders! This year’s theme invites students to become young archaeologists as they explore how scientists uncover clues about the past. Over 10 hands-on sessions, students will: Learn about archaeology and the process of discovery Build creative models using the SPIKE™ Prime robotics kit Design and program simple robotic features Work as a team to solve challenges and share ideas Create a final archaeology-themed model to showcase Teams will present their project at the FLL Explore Festival on April 25. Friendship Connection
Friendship Connection is the district's school-age childcare program that provides care before and after school, on non-school days, and during the summer. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and offer our students opportunities in areas such as science, engineering, creative arts, cooking, sports/fitness, language arts, and technology. Registration for School Year 2025-26 is now open. Registration for Summer 2026 and School Year 2026-27 will open February 23, 2026. All registrations will take time to process. We will contact you if your registration is on hold due to staffing. If your site is on a waitlist due to staffing, you may still submit your registration and we will contact you with the potential start date (if staffing is available) or an update regarding the site you are enrolled at.

FallProof! Workshop

The ability to improve your balance and reduce fall risks is in your hands. And it is never too late. Mia Bremer is a Master Balance and Mobility Specialist who teaches FallProof! This program was developed at the Center for Successful Aging at California State Fullerton where Mia has taught the program to professionals across the country. This workshop will teach you why our risk for falling increases as we age, as well as exercises and strategies we can use to reduce those risks. This is an interactive workshop – you will be practicing skills and taking home useful information that can save you from a trip to the floor. You will also learn what to do if you end up there!

Step into the magic of the forest and bring your imagination to life with Felt from the Forest, a hands-on craft adventure where creativity and nature come together. In this one-day workshop, we will design and sew our very own felt plushie friends—inspired by forest creatures like foxes, owls, bears, and hedgehogs. Using soft, colorful felt and simple hand-stitching techniques, we will learn the basics of plushie making while adding our own creative touches—googly eyes, buttons, embroidery, and more. This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Felted Bowls: Bits & Pieces
Art
Learn a clever new technique for wet felting with a resist and create a sturdy bowl to hold your keys, chocolates or simply to brighten up your creative space. Use bits and pieces of fabric, yarn, and fibers to decorate your bowl, inside and out. This is not Leslie’s popular vessels class. Here, you will expand your sculptural wet felting repertoire with this sturdier vessel-making technique while at the same time exploring color, texture and adding fun to your creative practice! Please note: some physical stamina needed for felting classes. Some felting experience helpful but bold beginners are welcome. $30 supply fee, payable to instructor the night of class. Bring from home: 2 hand towels 1 old bath towel a plastic bag to carry home wet items a simple bar of soap with a soap dish small sharp scissors a cotton cloth (at least 16” x 24”)Optional: apron, bag lunch. Ages 6 to 106 Classical fencing emphasizes the practice of the sword as an art, a science, and a recreational activity. Learn the basics of fencing with minimal rules and lots of play. You will learn at a comfortable pace and fence with others of all levels in a fun, safe, active environment. Fencing equipment provided. Get a deal on fitness class fees by purchasing a punch card with multiple drop-in passes! You choose the days you’d like to attend. Punch cards prices vary by the number of passes on them. Flavor Forward Spring Bowl Meals (Online Class)

Spring into fresh flavors with Kirsten in this live online cooking class. We’ll start by preparing a grain base and a protein and while those are cooking we’ll make a sauce and some fresh sides, then assemble everything to enjoy now OR pack separately for meal prep. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. There will be ample time for questions during the session, and participants will receive a link to the recording afterwards so you can cook along at your convenience.
