Disco Splash! is back!Dance your heart out with our fun, high intensity aerobics class! Participants will do a combination of dance and water exercise while utilizing both shallow and deep water. Participants must pre-register online/over the phone or at the doorThis is a high impact exercise class that will have loud music playing in the background. Course is not recommended for those with limited mobility or joint issues and participants must be able to maintain balance without assistance for the duration of class.

Calling all young princes and princesses! Your favorite fairytale princesses are throwing a Royal Ball, and you're invited! Join us for a magical afternoon with the famous lily pad princess from New Orleans and the golden-haired tower princess. General Admission Tickets Include: Event admission Character performances Plenty of personal interaction with Tower Princess and Lily Pad Princess Character-led activities Royal dance lessons Craft provided by Roseville Community Education Sing-along Multiple photo opportunities Dance time alongside the princesses Children’s costume parade A day full of memories and fun! VIP Tickets Include: Early admission (45 minutes prior to the event) A royal makeover by our Raider Royal Fairies (hair, face paint/makeup, nails) A royal goody bag A formal invitation to be sent to your little prince or princess after purchase of tickets! VIP is for children only; parents/guardians should accompany their child but only need to purchase a general admission ticket. Children are welcome to wear their favorite princess dresses, costumes, and/or royal ball attire (adults are welcome to dress their best, but for the safety of our young guests, no adult costumes are allowed for non-cast members)._________________________________________________________________All guests (including parent or guardian) need a ticket to attend (infants under the age of one excepted). Tickets are transferable but nonrefundable. Sibling Care-Twos Classes
ECFE Winter/Spring 2024-25
Child care is offered to siblings of ECFE class participants and is available on a sliding fee scale. Newborns and young babies birth to 4 months are welcome to come to ECFE classes with their parents. After that time, we request that your child attend sibling care or that you find an alternate child care option.

SilverSneakers
Fitness
The SilverSneakers Fitness Program can open the door to better health, greater independence, and a more fulfilling life. It is an equipment-based, multi-level, total-body conditioning class in which students use hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, a SilverSneakers playball, and a chair for standing and/or seated support. Exercises will work all major and minor muscle groups, addressing strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, balance, coordination, agility, speed, and power. SilverSneakers is a class for everyone. All equipment is provided. *NO CLASS: September 2, 3, 20 October 30 November 1, 29 December 23, 25, 27 January 1, 20 *NEW* Purchase a SilverSneakers Drop-in Pass Card! Soothe Those Achy Joints (Online Class)
Mind & Body
Do you have joints that ache – a knee or hip or back? Whether you have arthritis, bursitis or just creaky joints, this workshop is for you. Joint lubrication exercises are quite simple and easy to do yet produce rather remarkable results by helping to free your joints of pain. We’ll also discuss which nutrients are needed to help keep your joints healthy. Sound Healing, through various techniques and technologies, is the educated and conscious use of the energy of sound to reach identified goals and promote wellness in the human system – including the expansion of consciousness. Sound Healing is founded on the premise that all matter is vibrating at specific frequencies. In this class you will need a mat and a pillow, perhaps a blanket, as you relax and enjoy the playing of 7 chakra singing bowls and other modes of sound healing.

Spanish ¡Vamos! -Spring

The best way to spark enthusiasm for a language is with a topic that students love - ¡Vamos con los animales! (Let’s go with the Animals) is just that! For eight action-packed weeks, students will blaze new trails “visiting” a pet store, a family farm, the zoo, the ocean, and even the rainforest --All the while learning brand new Spanish vocabulary, conversation skills, useful phrases, and culture topics. Let your student explore where the wild things are in our interactive bilingual classroom. Space is limited, do not wait to sign up, it may be too late - register today! Spin Science: Designing Tops and Yo-Yos

Spinning Toys project gives students the opportunity to learn how to manipulate the materials that compose tops and yo-yos. Students will explore the physical principles that govern spinning toys. Students will design their own tops and yo-yos after learning basic designs.

Art
Encourage the creative side of you by weaving this authentic wicker basket. Starting with a drilled wooden base, round reed is used for the spokes. The sides are woven up using very narrow dyed reed. You may choose from a wide variety of colors, both pastels and variegated tones. The rim is finished with a unique woven braid. All supplies and tools will be provided by instructor. The finished size is approximately 9" long, 6" wide, and 5" high. Perfect for so many uses. Supply fee: $20 payable to instructor the night of class. Spring Theater Club with Character Kids Drama

Sing! Dance! Act! Join Character Kids for a fun-filled after school theater club! During this 10 week session, students will learn the basics of acting, singing and musical theater dance while having a lot of fun! No experience necessary. Parents are invited to a special performance on the last day of class. Focus is put on developing imagination, social skills and a positive self image through the performing arts.

Stay Loose and Manage Pain with Self Myofascial Release (SMR)

Flexibility, defined as the range of movement around a joint or set of joints, changes as we age. Fascia is a type of connective tissue that plays a key role in flexibility. This ever-changing tissue adapts in relationship to aging, repetitive movement and lack of movement. And though these changes start at an early age they often show up in mid-life as stiffness, overuse injuries or just general lack of flexibility. This workshop will explain the factors that lead to inflexibility and the specific needs and physical limitations we may face because of tight fascia. You will leave with SMR techniques you can do on your own. Equipment cost: $4

Do you want a healthy, strong, lean, and toned body? This is the class for you. Exercises are modified to accommodate all levels and are designed to hit all major muscle groups to improve muscular strength and endurance. Hand weights are provided. Please bring a floor mat.

PLEASE NOTE: Strength & Strectch will meet on Wednesdays only from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. This is a floor work class based on deep breathing, flexibility, alignment, and building and maintaining core strength. You'll leave stronger, stretchier, and lighter in both body and mind. Please bring a yoga mat.

Strong is the New Skinny: Strengthening Exercises to do at Home (Online Class)

Not everyone can be skinny, but EVERYONE can be stronger - even if you don’t get to the gym several times/week. Learn how to strengthen your arms, back, shoulders, chest, hips, butt and thighs using resistance bands while watching your favorite TV or radio show. There are many benefits to having stronger muscles – they boost metabolism; maintain/increase bone density, make daily tasks easier and help you age with quality and grace. These multi-tasking exercises can fit easily into even the busiest of schedules. It is a wonderful thing to be strong, fit and functional. You’ll learn lots of tips and techniques to improve overall health and wellness. You will need a resistance band for class. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. Super Artists with Young Rembrandts

It’s springtime and that can only mean one thing: SPRINGTIME FUN WITH YOUNG REMBRANDTS! If your child enjoys the outdoors, they will love the upcoming Hummingbird lesson filled with color and whimsy. We’ll be drawing all season creating motorcycles, boats and even the butterfly life cycle! Artists will be challenged as they draw and shade a realistic portrait of famous composer Beethoven using color pencils. Sign up today!
