Wooden Mosaic Star
Unleash your creativity and craftsmanship while you create a one-of-a-kind piece of wooden mosaic art in this hands-on workshop! In this session, students will craft a beautiful Mosaic Star from pre-cut wooden pieces. Whether you choose a rustic, modern, or whimsical style, your creation will reflect your personality since you'll have the freedom to paint or stain each piece to your liking. Once decorated, the pieces will be carefully arranged and assembled into a striking star-shaped mosaic using wood glue and a pin nailer. This is a comprehensive, 5-hour, retirement planning course broken into two, 2.5-hour, evening sessions that includes a 100 page book all for $49. We cover maximizing income sources like social security, annuities, pensions and investment withdrawals. We discuss minimizing taxes and tax diversification in tax deferred and tax free accounts like Roth IRAs, Roth 401(k)s, Roth conversions and Health Savings Accounts. We include an investment education section on stocks, bonds and mutual funds. Roseville Dance Team Kids Clinic
Health and Wellness
Come dance with the Roseville Dance Team! Open to boys and girls ages 3 -12. Come learn new dance skills and two fun routines in which you will perform alongside RDT in our annual winter show. Participants will be provided snack/lunch during the clinic as well as a t-shirt that they can keep and will wear for the winter show performance. Check in 10-10:30am at RAHS lower gym lobby, Clinic starts at 10:30am-12:30pm. Participants will stay with the dance team, then perform in the Roseville Dance Team Winter Show of which doors open at 12:30pm and the show begins at 1:00pm. The show should last 90-120 minutes. **PLEASE NOTE: All Registrations after 1/9 will not receive a T-Shirt

Roseville Winter Open Chess Tournament
Academic
Elementary and secondary chess players are invited to participate in the "Roseville Winter Open". Whether you participated in a chess club or not in the fall, you are invited to compete in this short, fun tournament. Time controls will be used when necessary to keep the tournament within time constraints. The format and recognitions will be based on the number of registered participants in each grade level and school. Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be accepted. Tournament etiquette and procedures will be explained at the event for players new to tournament play. Players are not eliminated. Everyone plays in each round unless there is a bye because of an odd number of participants. Typically there are 4-5 rounds. A great way to gain experience for your In-Club Spring Tournament & the Regional Open Tournament at the end of the season. Concessions Available: Donuts & Snack Items, cash only Format & Awards Based on Grade Level, School, & Number of Participants (K-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, Secondary) Participants: Roseville Students K-12th Grade. Chess Club Participation not Required.

Sewing: Beginning Apparel
Art
Build on your sewing skills and learn how to read and use a pattern to create a garment of your choice in class. Classes consist of group instruction and demonstrations to further explore terms, techniques, and materials as well as time to work on your own project with instructor guidance. Week 1, bring sewing machine and basic supplies.Week 2, students will meet at a local fabric store. Week 3-6, bring sewing machine, supplies, and project materials. Students should be comfortable threading and using their sewing machine. *Under age 18 must be enrolled with an adult. You will need to bring your own sewing machine! Supplies Needed: sewing machine in good working order with bobbin standard/universal needles thread scissors tape measure pins ruler/ seam gauge seam ripper fabric marking pen or pencil project materials - please budget $25-$50 for pattern, fabric, and notions for your class project. Develop and improve your sewing skills while working on a project of your choice. Students who have completed the Introduction, Beginning, or Intermediate sewing classes will receive instructor support, guidance, and extra help with challenging techniques, pattern instructions, or finishing an already started project. You will need to bring your own sewing machine! Sewing: Intermediate Apparel; Knits

Have you felt intimidated or scared to sew with knit fabrics? Or been frustrated when you’ve tried? We’ll demystify knits and eliminate frustrations and sew a garment of your choice in class that you’ll wear with pride. Students should be comfortable with machine sewing and familiar working with and reading patterns. Week 1, bring sewing machine and basic supplies. Week 2-6, bring sewing machine, supplies, and project materials. You will need to bring your own sewing machine! Child care is offered to siblings of ECFE class participants and is available on a sliding fee scale. Newborns and young babies birth to 4 months are welcome to come to ECFE classes with their parents. After that time, we request that your child attend sibling care or that you find an alternate child care option.
