School age child care located in all the district elementary schools.
On this cheerful spring-themed day, students will explore the wonders of nature by learning how plants and flowers grow. Through hands-on gardening, students will develop an understanding of the plant life cycle and the importance of caring for our environment. This lesson encourages curiosity, teamwork, and appreciation for the beauty of springtime growth.
This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Students participating in these classes will check in with Friendship Connection, receive a snack, and have a brief recess before class begins.
Each school receives one free class as part of our commitment to equity. These offerings are designed specifically to increase access for students who attend that school, especially those who may not have the financial means to participate in enrichment.
To support this purpose, free classes are reserved for students enrolled at the hosting school.
