Sourdough Starter Workshop *NEW!*
Learn how to care/maintain a sourdough starter, observe a bread dough making demonstration, and get answers to the most common questions made while making sourdough. You will get ALL of Sandra's tips/tricks associated with sourdough bread making focused on keeping the process simple and manageable for anyone interested in making sourdough bread. This 90 minute in-person Sourdough Starter workshop includes a fresh active starter and printed copy of the essential information for each registered participant. Late Registration: If you miss the deadline but are still interested, you can contact the Community Ed office by emailing us at CommunityEd@isd623.org or calling: 651-604-3770. Space may be limited, but we'll try our best to accommodate late registrations. Refund PolicyIf you need to cancel your registration, in order to receive a refund, you must notify Roseville Area Schools Community Education at least one (1) week prior to start date of the class/event/camp/activity, and that I will be issued a refund minus a $5 service charge. Registrations are not refunded in the event of a weather cancellation.

Stretch, smile, and snuggle your way through Puppy Yoga! Kids will adopt a stuffed puppy, bead a custom collar, create puppy-themed crafts, and enjoy playful yoga inspired by their furry new friend. Cricut Creations: T-Shirt Edition
Science & Technology
We’re going to explore our newest gadget at Falcon Heights Friendship: the Cricut! Students will be able to design, cut, and create their very own T-Shirts to take home. We invite students to flex their creative designer muscles in this exciting, crafty camp. This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Students participating in these classes will check in with Friendship Connection, receive a snack, and have a brief recess before class begins.

Thrills & Chills: A Ghoulish Time with Goosebump Classics
Creative Play
Step into the spine-tingling world of Goosebumps at this four-day camp filled with creepy crafts, spooky stories, and mysterious adventures! Students will dive into classic Goosebumps tales, create their own monster slime, explore hidden clues in a haunted scavenger hunt, and share eerie stories by flashlight. Get ready for a fun, safe, and slightly scary experience that will give everyone goosebumps! Elementary Coding & STEM Club with CSGA
Science & Technology
This program offers a crash course in coding your own games on Scratch. Students will create and develop 3-4 basic games while learning many foundational computer science skills with boundless potential for creativity and expansion. Apply your Scratch coding skills to robotics or continue creating games. Test your robots by solving specific challenge problems generated during the program! NEW UPDATE- This program utilizes Scratch (scratch.mit.edu) for student instructional activities. The parent/guardian email address provided at registration will be used to establish and maintain the student’s Scratch account and to acknowledge Scratch’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Express Yourself! Journaling Club
Special Interest
Students will get their own journals to decorate, write and draw in. We’ll have some themed pages like “all about me” and “inspiration board” pages. We’ll also provide students with writing prompts as well as free-writing time for our sessions. This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Green Thumbs Club
Health and Wellness
In this garden-themed club, students will have the opportunity to learn about the life cycle of different plants. We’ll decorate some mini pots, plant take-home plants, and start our own community garden. No experience is needed for this club, just an interest in growing and a willingness to learn! Students will be dealing with dirt in some of these sessions. Please make sure to send students with appropriate attire. This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Get ready to color your world! In this vibrant art camp, students will explore all the creative possibilities crayons can offer, from melting and molding to designing their own colorful masterpieces. Each session invites kids to experiment, imagine, and bring home unique crayon art creations they’ll be excited to show off. This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Students participating in these classes will check in with Friendship Connection, receive a snack, and have a brief recess before class begins. Each school receives one free class as part of our commitment to equity. These offerings are designed specifically to increase access for students who attend that school, especially those who may not have the financial means to participate in enrichment. To support this purpose, free classes are reserved for students enrolled at the hosting school.

Cake Bake Taste Test Camp
Cooking
Students will get to test and taste different baking recipes of cakes and observe the differences between them. This fun, tasty take on a measurable science experiment will leave students wanting more as we explore how different ingredients and their amounts impact the texture, density, and taste of a cake. We’ll also experiment with cooking methods, including air fryer cakes, toaster oven cakes, and microwave cakes. Please identify any food allergies or restrictions at the start of class or upon registration. Let’s get decorating! In this 3-day camp, students will get the chance to create, bake, and decorate their own homemade cookies! Wednesday we will be cutting and baking cookies. Thursday we will be decorating them with frosting and sprinkles. Friday we will decorate bags for students to take their cookies home in. Please identify any food allergies or restrictions at the start of class or upon registration.

Mindful Movement Kids Yoga Club with The Mindfulness Movement

Embark on an exciting adventure into the world of yoga and mindfulness, specially designed for kids! Through playful poses, imaginative games, and creative activities, children will build essential skills to manage stress, improve focus, and cultivate a sense of calm. Presented by The Mindfulness Movement. Each week, students will dive into a new theme using yoga poses, breathing exercises, and engaging games. From Balance Challenges and Yoga Freeze Dance to Mindful Art Activities, every session is filled with fun and discovery. Your child will even take home mindfulness journaling prompts and reflections to continue their mindfulness journey beyond class!
