Afterschool Track and Field Camp with DASH Sports
DASH Sports Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: Sprinting, javelin throwing, shotput, relay running, jumping and distance running. Campers will be tested/timed and re-tested on several events. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should bring a water bottle and wear athletic shoes.

Disco Splash! is back!Dance your heart out with our fun, high intensity aerobics class! Participants will do a combination of dance and water exercise while utilizing both shallow and deep water. Participants must pre-register online/over the phone or at the doorThis is a high impact exercise class that will have loud music playing in the background. Course is not recommended for those with limited mobility or joint issues and participants must be able to maintain balance without assistance for the duration of class.

Repair and extend the life of your clothing by learning basic mending techniques, including patching tears and holes, fixing ripped seams, sewing on a button, and hemming. Week 2, bring your own mending project to work on, including supplies. Students should have basic hand sewing skills. Get ready for the crisp breeze of fall and the arrival of apple season! If you've ever thought, "I can bake pies," then this class is tailor-made for you. Join Nancy as she guides you through making a crust to preparing the filling for your pie using the freshest apples from Brand Farms in Farmington. You will be surprised how easy it is! Each student will leave class with a piping hot apple pie to share with family and friends. Boxes will be provided. Kindly bring along your rolling pin and potato peeler if available; Nancy will have extras on hand just in case. Supply fee paid to instructor in class: $15. Bring a rolling pin if you have one! Moana 2 Musical Theater Camp with Mayer Arts

The ocean is calling once again! We will choose our characters, learn music and choreography from Moana 2 and create our own musical! Learn how to properly speak your lines, block a scene, develop your character and much more! We will also play fun, creative theater games. All that is needed are comfortable clothing and shoes, a nut free snack and a water bottle. Friends and family are invited to a special performance beginning the final 30 minutes of the final class!

Mod Development: Minecraft Superhero Mods with Tech Academy

My First Field Trip: Poplar Hill Dairy Goat Farm

Our littlest learners will be able to experience their first field trip to Poplar Hill Dairy Goat Farm! We will embark on a guided tour of all the animal barns. Students will learn about how they care for the animals, hear about the history of the farm, and even have an opportunity to milk a goat by hand!

No-Drama Discipline

This parenting class is based on the book No-Drama Discipline: The Whole-Brain Way to Calm the Chaos and Nurture Your Child's Developing Mind by authors Daniel J Siegel, MD and Tina Payne Bryson, PhD. You will learn about: child brain development ways to calmly connect with your child setting clear and consistent limits supports for handling tantrums how to stay focused on whole-brain parenting and discipline techniques This is a parenting-only class. You'll settle your child in the classroom to explore and enjoy activities with the early childhood teachers, then have a full hour devoted to parenting education in a separate room. Ages Birth - 8 years

Northeast Regional Open Chess Final Tournament
Academic
Elementary and secondary chess players are invited to participate in the ""NE Regional Open Chess Final". Whether you participated in a chess club or not in the fall, winter, or spring, you are invited to compete in this short, fun tournament where you can play against students representing Mounds View, St. Anthony-New Brighton and Mahtomedi school districts! Time controls will be used when necessary to keep the tournament within time constraints. The format and recognition will be based on the number of registered participants in each grade level and school. Anticipated sections will be Secondary 7th-12th, Invitational Elementary (Top Club Players), Open Elementary K-1st & 2nd-6th. Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be accepted. Tournament etiquette and procedures will be explained at the event for players new to tournament play. Players are not eliminated. Everyone plays in each round unless there is a bye because of an odd number of participants. Typically there are 4-5 rounds. Check-in will be 30 minutes before the posted start time. A great way to end of the Chess season. Concessions Available: Breakfast, Lunch & Snack Items Supervision will be provided. Parents/guardians are allow to stay, but are not allowed in the playing area and will be asked to wait in the lobby area. Mask will be required while playing across from your opponent, but optional elsewhere. This tournament is being held at Edgewood Middle School -5100 Edgewood Dr, Mounds View, MN 55112

Whether you want to refine your skills or simply embrace the therapeutic process of making art, our open classroom is the perfect setting for you. Come, explore, and let your creativity shine! Bring your own supplies and take the opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and connect with fellow artists. $5.00 drop-in fee payable online, or when you arrive. Get back into the groove of playing your instrument, learn new skills, and make great memories. Each day, students participate in sectionals and rehearsals in order to prepare for the final concert on Friday, August 8th. Camp will run Aug 4-8, from 12:00-3:00pm M-Th, camp will run from 12-5 on the last day; we will celebrate with a pizza party and get ready for our performance at 4:30! Intermediate Orchestra: For students who are entering 5th or 6th grade. Advanced Orchestra: For students who are entering 7th or 8th grade.
