Unleash your creativity and craftsmanship while you create a one-of-a-kind piece of wooden mosaic art in this hands-on workshop! In this session, students will craft a beautiful Mosaic Star from pre-cut wooden pieces. Whether you choose a rustic, modern, or whimsical style, your creation will reflect your personality since you'll have the freedom to paint or stain each piece to your liking. Once decorated, the pieces will be carefully arranged and assembled into a striking star-shaped mosaic using wood glue and a pin nailer. Make Your Own Bath Bombs
Art
Join us for a relaxing and sensory experience where you'll mold your own bath bombs and mix your own calming bath salt. These bath bombs are blackberry amber scented and a rustic pink color, topped with gold dust and rose petals. The bath salt mixture we will create is lavender vanilla scented. You will leave this workshop with a 4oz jar of lavender vanilla bath salt mix, 3 large bath bombs plus reusable molds and recipes. $10 supply fee payable to instructor the night of class. A Mandala Coasters class focuses on creating intricate and artistic designs inspired by the traditional mandala patterns, commonly representing harmony and balance. Participants will learn how to draw or paint mandala patterns, often starting from a central point and expanding outwards with geometric shapes and symbols. They are beautiful and so fun to make! Nancy will show you some simple tricks to make the process easy. We will make three different kinds, all set for the holidays. Discover the beauty of this amazing meditative practice using your own voice to access deep peace. There is no way out but in… vibration is the pathway. Together we will release the stress and strains of our fast paced lives and embrace our authentic sound using this ancient Indian humming method, singing into the ocean of sound provided by live harmonium and sound system. Art
Repair and extend the life of your clothing by learning basic mending techniques, including patching tears and holes, fixing ripped seams, sewing on a button, and hemming. Week 2, bring your own mending project to work on, including supplies. Students should have basic hand sewing skills. You will need to bring your own sewing machine! Fall is in the air! With that comes apple season. This is the time of year to make the very best apple pie. Students rave about this fun class! If you say, “I can’t make pies” then this class is for you. Nancy will take you through all the steps, from making a crust, to preparing all the filling for your pie using the freshest apples. You will be surprised how easy it is! Each student will leave class with a hot apple pie to share with family and friends. Boxes will be provided. Please bring a rolling pin, if you have one. They’ll learn simple techniques and express their unique style through guided activities and free design time.
