Connect with other families and ECFE staff as we enjoy this time together! July 18: Harriet Alexander Nature Center, 2520 Dale St N, Roseville, MN 55113 class #506d *Harriet Alexander Nature Center: 9:45am: meet on the sidewalk by the parking lot. 10:00 – 10:45: Animal meet-and-greet with a naturalist. Children will have the chance to view and touch live reptiles, learn where they live, and what makes them special. 10:45 – 11:30 Explore nature on walking trails and in the exhibit room.

June 27: Pool Party at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center, 1910 County Rd B W, Roseville, MN 55113 class #506b * Pool Information: The pool is about 86 degrees and is 3ft 6in - 5ft. deep Parents must swim in the pool with your children Swimmers are allowed to use USCG approved life jackets and puddle jumpers (those that go across the chest and buckle in the back) Flotation devices that are inflatable are not allowed Swimmers not yet potty-trained will need to wear a swim diaper and a plastic diaper cover that has an elastic band around the waist and legs Information will be shared about water safety Meet in the hallway outside the locker rooms at 9:45am

Experience an ancient wellness practice being rediscovered anew in the 21st century. Join us on an immersive, meditative, and awe-inspiring Japanese forest bathing experience (Shinrin Yoku). Feel how nature’s fractals, sounds, and sensations reduce your stress and anxiety, and enhance your focus. Give yourself permission to slow down and connect your senses to the healing beauty of our metro area’s green forested spaces. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. Friendship Connection is the district's school-age childcare program that provides care before and after school, on non-school days, and during the summer. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and offer our students opportunities in areas such as science, engineering, creative arts, cooking, sports/fitness, language arts, and technology. Registration for School Year 2024 - 25 is currently open. Registration for School Year 2025-26 and Summer 2025 is now open. Registration is now full for summer 2025 at Falcon Heights. **Please inquire about open sites for School Year 2024-25 as some sites are currently on waitlists due to staffing. You may still submit a registration to be added to the site's waiting list. Please ensure you have sent any additional information required/are paid in full, so when we are able to approve registrations, we are able to process yours expeditiously. All registrations will take time to process. We will contact you if your registration is on hold due to staffing. If your site is on a waitlist due to staffing, you may still submit your registration and we will contact you with the potential start date (if staffing is available) or an update regarding the site you are enrolled at.

Gelli prints offer an exciting new take on monoprinting! In this class, you'll explore nontraditional printmaking techniques as you create a series of unique prints using gelatin plates. By combining natural materials, stencils, and paint, you'll have the opportunity to experiment with layers and delve into the beauty of organic shapes and textures. Glow in the Dark Dough

Get ready for some glowing fun! We’ll mix cornstarch and conditioner to make soft, squishy moon dough, and add glow-in-the-dark paint for a magical twist. This is a low-impact, intensive aerobic workout in shallow water that utilizes the resistance of the water and equipment to strengthen, tone, and stretch muscles. Participants must be able to maintain balance without assistance for the duration of class.

Are you curious about how hackers think? Do you love solving puzzles? In this specialty class, you'll experience the exciting world of coding, ethical hacking and cybersecurity. Uncover the techniques hackers use, practice on specially designed websites, and master the skills to protect your online information. Get ready for an adventure playing Capture the Flag Games where you'll crack codes and outsmart cyber threats. Students should have good keyboarding skills. Caring for indoor plants is a little different than caring for outdoor plants. With a little special care and consideration, you can keep your indoor plants healthy and avoid common problems. This class is offered by the U of M Extension Master Gardener volunteers of Ramsey County, who are eager to share research-based gardening best practices with the people in their community. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. Refund Policy If you need to cancel your registration, in order to receive a refund, you must notify Roseville Area Schools Community Education at least one (1) week prior to start date of the class/event/camp/activity, and that I will be issued a refund minus a $5 service charge. Registrations are not refunded in the event of a weather cancellation.
