The ability to improve your balance and reduce fall risks is in your hands. And it is never too late. Mia Bremer is a Master Balance and Mobility Specialist who teaches FallProof! This program was developed at the Center for Successful Aging at California State Fullerton where Mia has taught the program to professionals across the country. This workshop will teach you why our risk for falling increases as we age, as well as exercises and strategies we can use to reduce those risks. This is an interactive workshop – you will be practicing skills and taking home useful information that can save you from a trip to the floor. You will also learn what to do if you end up there!

Add texture and other design elements using a variety of natural materials. Ages 6 to 106 Classical fencing emphasizes the practice of the sword as an art, a science, and a recreational activity. Learn the basics of fencing with minimal rules and lots of play. From pagan times to present, Ireland’s dark history has been recorded in its abbeys and churches, forts and castles, jails and graveyards by those who lived during those turbulent times and often perished because of them. Their ghosts are eyewitnesses to this history. Sometimes, they are the history.

Pour painting is an innovative way to use acrylic paint to create an art piece. In this class you will learn the process of mixing acrylic paints with other materials to give it a more fluid consistency so that it can be poured directly onto a canvas. We will learn how to add details to our painting to make it resemble a winter scene. An 8 x 10 canvas and all the supplies for the pour are included.
