Ceramics Wheel Throwing
Learn the basics of creating pottery on the wheel. This class is designed for the beginner as well as individuals who wish to continue developing their skills on the potter’s wheel. Each class will include a demonstration and independent work time. The instructor will assist you with developing basic throwing skills as well as advanced techniques. Participants will learn how to create cylinders, bowls, vases, mugs, and more. This is a great class to learn at your own pace and have fun. Parent Focus: Parenting During Times of Community Crisis

Parenting During Times of Community Crisis For parents and caregivers with children age 3 - grade 3! Free childcare is available, see below. 5:30-6:00pm: Enjoy a FREE meal! 6:00-7:00pm: Presentation With specific attention to the recent ICE activity in Minnesota, this session will explore how stress, fear and uncertainty impact adults, and how that stress can show up in children's emotions and behavior. With guidance from Rachael Opseth, Licensed Professional Counselor at Deep River Counseling, parents will: Learn practical ways to manage their own reactions, regulate stress and stay present during difficult moments. Gain age-appropriate tools for talking with children about hard or scary topics, responding to big emotions and questions, and creating a sense of safety, routine and stability. Leave with concrete strategies and resources to use during times of crisis and uncertainty. Register each adult participant individually. Limited spots are available for childcare; register for childcare #510a.

Friendship Connection
Friendship Connection is the district's school-age childcare program that provides care before and after school, on non-school days, and during the summer. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and offer our students opportunities in areas such as science, engineering, creative arts, cooking, sports/fitness, language arts, and technology. Registration for School Year 2025-26 is now open. Registration for Summer 2026 and School Year 2026-27 will open February 23, 2026. All registrations will take time to process. We will contact you if your registration is on hold due to staffing. If your site is on a waitlist due to staffing, you may still submit your registration and we will contact you with the potential start date (if staffing is available) or an update regarding the site you are enrolled at.

Poké- Inspired Game Coding with Tech Academy

Online Virtual Class: In this class, we introduce students to programming concepts using Scratch. Learn to create an interactive 2D video game using your favorite Pokémon characters. Scratch is a drag-and-drop creative coding platform developed by MIT. Pokémon is a trademark of Nintendo of America Inc. This camp is not affiliated with them. Home Technical Requirements: Computer: PC (Windows 10 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GB of RAM Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones DO NOT Work. Internet: Broadband internet Webcam, Microphone and Speakers Zoom Installed on Computer, zoom link will be sent before class. Students should be comfortable using a PC, mouse, and keyboard. Pool Birthday Party Packages at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center

Host your child's next birthday party with us at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center! Your party will have access to the new Aŋpétu Téča Education Center pool and one community room for gifts and cake. Let's get this party started! $350 Pool Package: Up to 15 kids (Adult/parent supervision is required at all times) There must be at least 2 adults in the water for every 15 kids ages 9+ There must be 1 adult for every 2 kids ages 8 and under No additional costs for adults that are needed in the pool All swimmers must adhere to all pool guidelines and follow any direction given by the lifeguards on duty Tables and chairs will be provided by us Some toys/floats are available for use Your party will get exclusive access to our heated pool for up to 2 hours and have 3 hours in the community room for presents, cake, and celebration! Posture and Osteoporosis - Building Better Bones (Online)

Have you ever caught sight of your reflection in a window or mirror to see that your head leads the way? Or noticed that your shoulders and upper back are too rounded forward? You’ll learn simple techniques to improve posture and stand straighter. We’ll do exercises to help flatten the upper back, un-round shoulders and flatten your midsection. Learn how to reduce the risk of osteoporosis and how to re-gain bone mass. We’ll discuss the latest research findings on nutrition, minerals and trace minerals needed for bone health; foods that help and/or harm your bones and more. Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
