THREE OPTIONS AVAILABLE: CPR/AED Only (9:00 AM - 11:30 AM): This CPR/AED class gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies until advanced medical personnel arrive. This American Red Cross course certifies individuals in CPR/AED for adults, children and infants is nationally recognized and valid for two years. First Aid Only (11:30 AM - 2:30 PM): First Aid covers any emergency that does not require the use of CPR. Topics covered in this American Red Cross course include recognition and treatment for heart attacks, stroke, diabetic emergencies, allergic reactions as well as first aid treatments to wounds, fractures, burns and other common injuries. CPR/AED/First Aid (9:00 AM - 2:30 PM): This class combines CPR, AED and First Aid Training into one convenient session. Lay Responder CPR/AED with First Aid teaches the skills necessary to recognize and provide immediate care for breathing problems, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until medical personnel arrive. Participants will be certified by the American Red Cross for: Standard First Aid and CPR/AED for adults, children and infants. This course meets the Rule 2 and 3 requirements for childcare providers. Intended Audience: Teachers, Daycare Providers, Coaches, Office Workers, new parents, or anyone who wants or needs to learn the life-saving skills of CPR and are not a healthcare professional (healthcare professionals are required to take the more advanced BLS Healthcare Provider CPR course). ACE Health Coach, Mia Bremer, will share tools she's learned from both personal experience and years of experience coaching people living with mental health disorders . As a personal trainer, Mia understands how the mind and body work together.

We'll create more than 20 appetizers that require less than 20 minutes from start to finish. You can serve these appetizers as a first course or a snack for family and friends. Celebrate the colors of fall with apple printing! In this fun and creative art activity, students will cut apples in half and use them as stamps to create beautiful, textured prints on paper. After dipping the apple halves in paint and stamping their designs, they’ll add stems and leaves to complete their fall-themed masterpieces.

Apple Watch Fundamentals is for anyone who owns an Apple Watch and wants to know more! This is a low-impact, extremely light aerobic workout in shallow water that focuses on stretching and toning muscles while utilizing the resistance of the water and equipment. Pack your (pretend) bags and get ready for a globe-trotting journey! In this exciting adventure, students will explore cultures, languages, and traditions from around the world. Each week, we’ll "visit" a new country and discover what makes it unique through interactive activities and creative projects. From tasting new flavors to stepping into global traditions, this experience offers a fun and enriching way to connect with the world.

Join us for a globe-trotting adventure without ever leaving St. Paul! On our "Around the World at the Zoo" day, students will explore the incredible diversity of animals from across the continents right at Como Zoo. As young explorers, students will "travel" to different regions of the world—Africa, Asia, South America, the Arctic, and beyond—visiting animals native to each environment and learning how their unique habitats shape their survival.

Calling all young artists and storytellers! In this hands-on class, kids will explore the magical world of puppetry through art. They’ll design, build and bring their own puppets to life using a variety of materials.

Learn about the basic home electrical system with this Hands-on class. We will review different gauges of wire, application and discuss proper techniques for stripping wire, attaching to outlets, switches and light fixtures. You will wire up a circuit with single pole & 3-way switches, outlet and light fixture. Then we will test the circuit with proper testing equipment. Bring straight & Phillips screwdrivers, long nose pliers and wire stripping pliers to class if you have them. Handouts provided with the class. Create accessories as unique as you are! Students will design and assemble bracelets, earrings, and other wearable art using beads, shrinky dinks, and other colorful materials. Each creation will be a reflection of their personal style, ready to wear or gift.

Instructor Jay Rupp prefers to paint with people who have no experience painting, don't want to paint, and who can't draw a stick figure. If you are one of the “anti-artist” types, you will have the most fun and be the most amazed! If your painting turns out really nice, (as I am sure it will) you may want to paint more paintings similar to your original masterpiece. If you are an experienced artist, welcome. There is always much to learn. The “Pansies” may be the highlight of your year! The painting will be in oil which is quite easy to work with. I will supply all the materials that you will need including paints, 16X20 inch canvas and painting supplies. Your painting will be ready for you to frame and put on your wall at home when you finish. (The Oil painting will take 4 weeks to dry but can still be put into the frame of your choice and hung immediately on your favorite wall). Frames will be available at the class.
