Come play indoor Open Pickleball at the Aŋpétu Téča Education Center gym! Bring your own paddle. Game balls and nets are provided. 3 courts are available for play. For ages 18+.Purchase an Open Pickleball Pass Card! Valid for 5 open pickleball sessions. Bring your card each time you come to class. Punch card will be given to you on your first attended open gym. Be guided in ancient and timeless yogic techniques of pranayama and gentle kriya, accessing the power of the breath and life force energy to reduce stress and tension, calm the systems of the body, improve concentration, sleep quality and your overall sense of presence and well being. Are you a caregiver for young children? A stay at home dad or mom? A nanny or grandparent providing care? This class is for you! We will connect during the late afternoon (which can be a challenging part of the day) and explore fun and creative activities with the children. We will learn about meal planning, routines and schedules, taking care of ourselves and more. There will be time to connect with the adults as part of this class. This is a separating class. Birth-5 years as of class start date.

Chicken Marsala vs. Chicken Limone (Participation Class)
Cooking & Food
Begins with bruschetta topped with fresh mozzarella cheese, skinned roma tomatoes and sweet roasted bell pepper sprinkled with fresh basil and drizzled with olive oil. You’ll prepare “Chicken Marsala” with fresh sauteed mushrooms in a sweet Marsala butter sauce. We’ll see how that measures up against “Chicken Limone” topped with a chardonney, lemon, butter sauce with capers. Both entrees are paired with "Spaghetti Aglio Olio", tender garden vegetables tossed with olive oil, garlic, and Romano cheese. We'll finish with "Diplomatico", a divine combination of rum and espresso-soaked pound cake, rich chocolate mouse and fresh whipped cream. Christmas in Krakow

Twenty years ago, my husband and I celebrated the most wonderous Christmas of our lives in Krakow, Poland as we joined our son and his family for the holiday. We visited the medieval Market Square, alive with Christmas, Santa Claus, and Ronald McDonald; rode in a carriage to Wawal castle and met its fire-breathing dragon, Smok, and took a one-horse open sleigh ride over the river and thru the forested hills of the Carpathian Mountains. Let me share this storybook memory with you.

Colorful Glass Mosaic Table Lamp or Window
Art
Create a custom, colorful table lamp or window in 2 fun evenings (with some homework)! Using precut glass and some creativity, you will cover a 4”x 9” or 8” x 8” lamp or 20”x25” four pane window. Stencils will be available or you can use your creativity to make a beautiful work of art. The first night is dedicated to working on your project, having fun, and discovering your creative side. The second night is using grout, so bring some old towels. After your project is finished, you will learn about glass cutting, mosaic resources, other types of mosaics. Supply fee: payable to the instructor the first night. Join us for a relaxing and sensory experience where you'll mold your own bath bombs and mix your own exfoliating body scrub. These bath bombs are a citrus basil fragrance and the sugar based body scrub is a lightly scented pink grapefruit. Day of Remembrance for Japanese Americans During WWII
Personal Interest
On February 19, 1942, Proclamation 9066 was issued, ordering the incarceration of all Japanese Americans living on the West Coast during World War II. Peggy Doi, the daughter of Japanese American parents, will share her family’s story—an important part of Minnesota’s history. Her father and many others were recruited or volunteered from the incarceration camps to serve in the Military Intelligence Service Language School, which was first located at Camp Savage and later at Fort Snelling. There, Japanese Americans were trained as translators and intelligence specialists to support U.S. forces in the Pacific Theater. Peggy’s presentation tells the story of her family’s experiences before and during this pivotal time in history.
