This course focuses on water skills for children ages 3 to 5 that are ready to swim on their own! Students will build on their water skills and grow their independence. Promoting water safety from a young age will help to keep your child safe as they become more self-confident and believe in their abilities. Skills taught: Enter & Exit water from side Blow bubbles with nose (humming) Bobbing Front float for 3+ seconds Back float for 3+ seconds Jelly fish float for 3+ seconds Roll from back to front Roll from front to back Front glide (one body length) Back glide (one body length) “Scooping” and kicking on front 5 feet Flutter kicking on back 5 feet Elementary backstroke arms 5 feet (w/ support) Swim, Float, Swim 10 feet (w/ support) Jump in (w/ support) Follows Directions Water Safety Skills Note: Students who are still working on potty training MUST wear appropriate swim diapers and plastic covers. Students will be turned away if not wearing the appropriate swim diapers/covers.Parents MUST remain in the building during lessons and should stay within eyesight of the pool for quick contact if needed.

Roseville Dance Team Kids Clinic
Come dance with the Roseville Dance Team! Open to boys and girls ages 3 -12. Come learn new dance skills and two fun routines in which you will perform alongside RDT in our annual winter show. Participants will be provided snack/lunch during the clinic as well as a t-shirt that they can keep and will wear for the winter show performance. Check in 10-10:30am at RAHS lower gym lobby, Clinic starts at 10:30am-12:30pm. Participants will stay with the dance team, then perform in the Roseville Dance Team Winter Show of which doors open at 12:30pm and the show begins at 1:00pm. The show should last 90-120 minutes.

Left unchecked, stress can contribute to a number of life-threatening conditions – obesity, heart disease, and stroke, as well as anxiety and depression. Energy medicine teaches us that staying grounded and focused is key to preventing stress from causing long-term harm. Join me to learn the relationship between stress and disease as well as several self-help techniques to help you stay calm and collected. Join us in this non-separating yoga class, where you and your little one will have fun moving together, exploring sights, sounds and movement. Crafted with postpartum-safe movements, it's just the right blend of relaxation and strength-building for your body. We will also be discussing some basics of infant growth and development, and helping you connect with a supportive community of new parents. Parent Educator Jessica has years of experience working with postpartum parents and families, helping them reconnect with their bodies through yoga and mindfulness. Birth - 8 months. Ages as of class start date. Yoga mats are provided.

Central Park School Year
Friendship Connection
Friendship Connection is the district's school-age childcare program that provides care before and after school, on non-school days, and during the summer. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and offer our students opportunities in areas such as science, engineering, creative arts, cooking, sports/fitness, language arts, and technology. Registration for School Year 2024 - 25 opened on February 26th.** **Please inquire about open sites for School Year 2024-25 as some sites are currently on waitlists due to staffing. You may still submit a registration to be added to the site's waiting list. Please ensure you have sent any additional information required/are paid in full, so when we are able to approve registrations, we are able to process yours expeditiously. All registrations will take time to process. We will contact you if your registration is on hold due to staffing. If your site is on a waitlist due to staffing, you may still submit your registration and we will contact you with the potential start date (if staffing is available) or an update regarding the site you are enrolled at.

Chicken Marsala vs. Chicken Limone (Participation Class)

Begins with bruschetta topped with fresh mozzarella cheese, skinned roma tomatoes and sweet roasted bell pepper sprinkled with fresh basil and drizzled with olive oil. You’ll prepare “Chicken Marsala” with fresh sauteed mushrooms in a sweet Marsala butter sauce. We’ll see how that measures up against “Chicken Limone” topped with a chardonney, lemon, butter sauce with capers. Both entrees are paired with "Spaghetti Aglio Olio", tender garden vegetables tossed with olive oil, garlic, and Romano cheese. We'll finish with "Diplomatico", a divine combination of rum and espresso-soaked pound cake, rich chocolate mouse and fresh whipped cream. Join us for a delightful class just in time for Valentine's Day! You'll create and sample a variety of rich, indulgent recipes, then take home a selection of your favorites. At home, you can impress your sweetheart by making their special treat! Our recipes include mousse, brownies, dipping chocolate, hot fudge sauces, decadent truffles, Italian ricotta cheesecake, and orange ricotta custard, among others. Remember, chocolate is perfect for any occasion! Don’t forget to bring containers to safely transport your delicious creations home. Circles - Felted Table Runner

Create a colorful runner or wall hanging from wool fibers and a little soapy water. No knitting or sewing required, learn the magic of wet feltmaking and create a work of art for your table or wall. Inspired by vintage penny rugs and the Russian artist Kandinsky, this design looks great in any home, office or cabin. Some physical stamina needed for felting classes. $35 supply fee, payable to instructor, includes all fibers and supplies.
