Afterschool Track and Field Camp with DASH Sports
DASH Sports Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: Sprinting, javelin throwing, shotput, relay running, jumping and distance running. Campers will be tested/timed and re-tested on several events. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should bring a water bottle and wear athletic shoes.

Disco Splash! is back!Dance your heart out with our fun, high intensity aerobics class! Participants will do a combination of dance and water exercise while utilizing both shallow and deep water. Participants must pre-register online/over the phone or at the doorThis is a high impact exercise class that will have loud music playing in the background. Course is not recommended for those with limited mobility or joint issues and participants must be able to maintain balance without assistance for the duration of class.

Taiko Drum Class -Level I
Fitness
Let's make some noise and have fun hitting big drums! Taiko is movement infused, heart-pounding, dynamic group drumming. Think of it as a high energy performance art that combines music, dance, martial arts, athletics, and culture. If you can count to four, you are set! Originally Japanese, taiko now is a global art form. You will use your brain and body, be social, laugh, and have fun. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Tantalizing Thai Cuisine (Participation Class)

You’ll begin by preparing Vietnamese summer rolls (fresh) served with both hoisin and peanut sauce for dipping. Included are Vietnamese spring rolls (fried) with pork, turkey, and glass noodles stuffed in rice paper and fried crisp and golden. You'll then prepare Pad Thai blending the vibrant flavors of Thailand with rice noodles, breast of chicken, eggs, chilies, garlic, basil, scallions, bean sprouts, and more. For dessert, Thai lime custard topped with fresh whipped cream. Please note: this class is non-refundable in the event of weather cancellations. Thyroid Things You Need To Know (Online Class)

If you currently take thyroid medication but are still gaining weight and still have a variety of symptoms, there’s more you need to know. Fatigue, weight gain, depression, anxiety, rising cholesterol levels, inability to focus, thinning hair, digestive problems, abnormal blood pressure, reduced sex drive, and heart palpitations are only some of the symptoms. In this workshop, we’ll discuss how thyroid function can make any illness worse; the 5 things that need to be measured, but usually aren’t; why the #1 thyroid replacement may not be helping you; connection between thyroid, fibromyalgia and arthritis; foods that help or hinder; commonly misunderstood rules of how and when to take thyroid meds; environmental triggers and info you need to discuss with your doctor. This workshop is a source of information only and should by no means be considered a substitute for the advice of a qualified medical professional.

Traditional Southern Cooking

Beginning in the 1960's, food in the U.S. deep south was heavily influenced by early settlers from France, Germany, and Spain. Slaves from Senegal, Africa, and Cuban refugees and Cajuns from Nova Scotia, Canada also contributed to the medley of flavors using the wealth of local seafood, vegetables, poultry, livestock and of course, pecans. Join us in a memorable meal to include crab dip, traditional cheese straws, gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, buttermilk biscuits, cheese grits, pecan praline candy and traditional bread pudding with bourbon sauce. Join us as we spend the day "up in the air" at Urban Air Adventure Park, paint pictures of outer space, design your own airplane with recycled and found objects, create a paper kite, and experiment making a floating hot air lantern! Science & Technology
Learn how to produce a YouTube video podcast! You will become familiar with the ins and outs of creating your podcast. Explore ideas, make a script map, and more. We will also go over refining your audio using Audacity. Edit your video, add transitions, and insert a soundtrack. Then, share your finished video with the world. Bring a USB drive (at least 8 GB) to save your videos on the last day. Wands & Wonders: Fairy, Fantasy and Fun + Magic Makers
Pre-K Adventures
AM/ PM Camp only registration includes 3 hours of themed activities. Full day option includes both AM and PM Camps and "Lets Do Lunch at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center"- a supervised lunch, recess and optional rest time. We require all children to be fully potty trained to participate in camps. This means they can go to the bathroom and clean up independently. AM Camp Only 9:00am-12:00pm Fairy, Fantasy and Fun: Want to explore a world of mermaids, dragons, fairies, and knights? Welcome to a week straight out of a storybook! Grab your pixie dust and get ready for a week of magic. PM Camp Only 1:00pm-4:00pm Magic Makers: Abracadabra! In this exciting camp, preschoolers will explore simple science concepts like fizzing potions, floating objects, and magical transformations. Using everyday materials, kids will experience hands-on activities that make science feel like magic—from creating colorful potions to watching "magic" grow before their eyes. It’s the perfect place for little scientists to spark curiosity, experiment, and experience the magic of learning! Water Exercise
Join us to prioritize your health! Water aerobics classes are a form of low-impact exercise. Water's buoyancy reduces stress on your joints, bones, and muscles. This can be especially helpful for people with arthritis, joint injuries, and similar conditions. Water exercise classes workout your entire body and promote cardiovascular health, muscle strength, and flexibility. Register for a full month at a time, or for drop-in sessions! Note: Looking for winter TABATA classes? TABATA is flying south for the winter to take a break and should be back in the spring. In the meantime, try a Disco Splash or H2O Cardio class instead!

Wicked Musical Theater Camp with Mayer Arts

Let’s go to Oz! We will choose our characters, learn music and choreography from Wicked and create our own musical. Learn how to properly speak your lines, block a scene, develop your character and much more! We will also play fun, creative theater games. All that is needed are comfortable clothing and shoes, a nut free snack and a water bottle. Friends and family are invited to a special performance beginning the final 30 minutes of the final class!

Are you finding no matter how well you watch what you eat or how much you exercise weight is not budging? Your inability to lose weight probably has more to do with hormone levels than anything else. Until imbalances are corrected, trying to lose weight will be like shoveling sand against the tide. We’ll discuss which hormones are involved and what can be done to correct imbalances; concrete solutions for controlling appetite and cravings; major sources of hormone mimicking chemicals and how to get rid of them; what HRT or birth control pills have to do with weight gain; how to have your hormone levels checked reliably; what steps need to be taken to safely break the vicious cycle of hormone related weight gain. Whether you are married, single, or divorced, it is important to have a will to make sure your wishes are honored. Learn about estates and wills while preparing your own legal will during class. You will receive all of the tools needed to complete this important document, including instructions, a professionally prepared form, witnesses, and a notary public. This class is tailored to people who have an estate of less than $2 million and do not own a business. Spouses must register separately. Writing for Online Blogs, Magazines & Websites (Online Class)
Personal Interest
You don’t need a journalism degree or previously published articles to write for anyone’s online blog, magazine, or website. Some opportunities offer exposure, while many pay well -- $1 a word and more. In this fast-paced session, you will learn how to: find ideas, sources, and more than 1,000 opportunities that pay, conduct interviews and create interesting content, protect your copyright, write query letters, and then use this credibility to sell other articles or even your self published novel. Informative handouts for future use are included in class fee. The instructor LeeAnne Krusemark is a former journalist, current author and editor, and a nationwide Professor of Publishing at higher learning institutions, including Harvard Adult Education. The webinar login information will be emailed the day before class.
