Beginning Taiko Class - Come Hit Big Drums!
Let's make some noise and have fun hitting big drums! Taiko is movement infused, heart-pounding, dynamic group drumming. Think of it as a high energy performance art that combines music, dance, athletics, and culture. If you can count to four, you are set! Originally Japanese, taiko now is a global art form. You will use your brain and body, be social, laugh, and have fun. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date.Late Registration: If you miss the deadline but are still interested, you can contact the Community Ed office by emailing us at CommunityEd@isd623.org or calling: 651-604-3770. Space may be limited, but we'll try our best to accommodate late registrations. Refund PolicyIf you need to cancel your registration, in order to receive a refund, you must notify Roseville Area Schools Community Education at least one (1) week prior to start date of the class/event/camp/activity, and that I will be issued a refund minus a $5 service charge. Registrations are not refunded in the event of a weather cancellation.

Raider Puzzle Palooza
Calling all jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts! Come join us for our jigsaw puzzle competition! Sign up with family or friends and see how fast you can connect the pieces. Each team will put together the same 500-piece puzzle. Sign up for one of two competition categories: Adult: For teams of up to four adults/children over the age of 13. At least one team member must be 18+. Family: For teams of up to four, including at least one child under the age of 13. At least one adult must also be on all teams in this division. Teams may contain between 2 and 4 members. The use of puzzle sorting trays is not allowed. Registration fees are per household, and include the puzzle. Prizes will be awarded! Ages 5-AdultRegistration: The cost to register is $45 per team. Only one participant needs to register for their whole team. When prompted to "choose attendee" only select the team captain who is registering. The registering participant will be asked for the other team member's names later during the check-out process. Your team may compete with less than four members, however you will still be competing against full teams. Check-in will begin at 12:30pm and the competition will start at 1:00pm. Light refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase (cash or credit card accepted). There will be a puzzle swap table at the event. Please bring in your gently used puzzles to swap them for others that are new to you! Complete set of competition rules will be sent to teams after registration. Competition Rules

Be the fashionista you always wanted to be! This day will be filled with glitz, glam, and, of course, accessories!! This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Each school receives one free class as part of our commitment to equity. These offerings are designed specifically to increase access for students who attend that school, especially those who may not have the financial means to participate in enrichment. To support this purpose, free classes are reserved for students enrolled at the hosting school.

Build A Bug Hotel
Special Interest
Create a cozy home for insects using natural materials like sticks, pinecones, leaves, and bark! Kids will learn how bugs help our environment by giving them a safe space to live and rest. Stack materials inside a box or plastic bottle with holes, then place it outside in a shady garden spot. This hands-on project encourages curiosity about nature and supports local pollinators and decomposers! This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Candy Shop 101
Special Interest
Do you love candy and being creative? In this sweet class, you’ll become the owner of your very own candy store! You’ll design your own candy company, invent a brand-new sweet treat, and even make a colorful logo to show off your creation. By the end, you’ll have a full candy brand ready to “open for business”! This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school.

Express Yourself! Journaling Club
Special Interest
Students will get their own journals to decorate, write and draw in. We’ll have some themed pages like “all about me” and “inspiration board” pages. We’ll also provide students with writing prompts as well as free-writing time for our sessions. This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Gym Birthday Party Packages at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center
Special Interest
Host your child's next birthday party with us at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center! Your party will have access to the new Aŋpétu Téča Education Center gymnasium and one community room for gifts and cake. Let's get this party started! If you have any questions before reserving your package, feel free to call or email us! $225 Package: Have up to 20 guests! (Adult/parent supervision is required at all times.) Your party will have access to a private community room rental for presents, cake, and celebration! Tables and chairs will be provided by us. Your party will get exclusive access to our gymnasium for up to 3 hours, including set-up time! Choose from basketballs, dodgeballs, soccer balls, or hula hoops/jump ropes for your party to play with! For an extra fee, you can add on: $100 for an extra hour of party time. $25 for additional equipment rental. To complete your registration, please contact our registration desk at 651-604-3770. Please reach out to schedule birthday parties by the 15th of the month prior in order to help us ensure staffing for your event date and determine if there are any scheduling conflicts. Example: For a February 8th party, please schedule with us by January 15th. You can still request a party after that timeline, but please know that availability may be more limited.

Mini Shredders Club

Build. Flip. Shred. Repeat. Get ready to ride the ramps fingerboard style! In the Mini Shredders Club, you’ll design your own custom Tech Deck park, learn awesome tricks, and compete in friendly challenges with friends. From kickflips to custom builds, this club has it all. Whether you’re brand-new or already landing tricks, you’ll level up your skills each week while having a blast. This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school.

Ready, Set, Grow
Special Interest
Get down to earth in our 1-day flower planting workshop. Each participant will plant 3 potted flowers they get to take home, as well as help us fill and decorate a window planter for our school. Safety is about the situation, self-awareness and self-defense. Learn the fundamentals, effective responses to practical situations, and experience hands-on exercises. Build a strong foundation for strength and confidence in yourself! Youth-focused class, minimum age of 8 years old. Parents are welcome to watch.

Spring in Blossom

On this cheerful spring-themed day, students will explore the wonders of nature by learning how plants and flowers grow. Through hands-on gardening, students will develop an understanding of the plant life cycle and the importance of caring for our environment. This lesson encourages curiosity, teamwork, and appreciation for the beauty of springtime growth. This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school.
