Learn the basics of creating pottery on the wheel. This class is designed for the beginner as well as individuals who wish to continue developing their skills on the potter’s wheel. Each class will include a demonstration and independent work time. The instructor will assist you with developing basic throwing skills as well as advanced techniques. Participants will learn how to create cylinders, bowls, vases, mugs, and more. This is a great class to learn at your own pace and have fun. Introduction to Glassblowing

The student will learn safety fundamentals, tool and torch usage, solid rod welding and gathering, color application, shaping, and more. Students will be able to create small trinkets, marbles, paper weights, plant rods, or anything else that can be thought of with the skills learned. Learn how to thread your sewing machine, how to read a pattern, sewing terms and equipment, and basic sewing techniques to sew a tote bag in class. Classes will be held in-person & Livestreamed on Zoom. Once you have registered for the class, you can choose which way you want to participate. Each day you will receive an email with the link for the Zoom class so you can choose to come in-person, or dance in your living room! All in-person Jazzercise classes are held at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center, 1910 County Rd B W, Roseville. Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays: Cardio Sculpt A high intensity 60 minute mix of dance-based cardio and strength training for a calorie-crushing total body workout. Not only will you rock it to fresh pulse-pounding music, we also target the 3 major muscle groups – upper body, abs and legs – so, you’ll feel it where you need it! Tuesdays: Sculpt60 Sculpt60: A hardcore mix of standing and floor work targets the major muscle groups to build strength and carve your curves. Weights, tubes and natural resistance engage your muscles while red-hot playlists distract you from the burn. Wednesdays: Interval CardioSculpt Our signature dance-based class format with a metabolism-boosting twist. Alternate between high and low intensity dance-based cardio intervals (HIIT) for 40 minutes followed by 20 minutes of strength training and stretch. This class will have you working at your maximum to burn calories long after class is over. Fridays: alternate between PowerSculpt45 and Vital HIIT45 PowerSculpt45: We pump up the power in this circuit-based 45 minute class to work every angle of your body. Focused muscle pumping sets will challenge your strength, and the amplified dance moves will crank up your cardio. Vital HIIT45: This invigorating HIIT-style class promotes strength, vitality, and long-term hormone health with a science-backed blend of targeted sculpting, high-intensity cardio, and functional movement training.

Dive into lifesaving skills with our Junior Lifeguard Class! This program is designed for youth (ages 13+) aspiring to be lifeguards and want to build confidence in the water, develop essential rescue skills, and learn about water safety in a fun and structured environment. Participants will receive hands-on training in: Water rescues and basic first aid CPR and emergency response techniques Teamwork, leadership, and responsibility This class is a great stepping stone for future lifeguard certification and is perfect for strong swimmers looking to challenge themselves while having fun. While this is not a certification course, students will gain valuable skills and knowledge to prepare for a future in aquatics safety. This is both water and land based learning. Prerequisites: Must be a proficient swimmer, with the ability to swim able to swim 150 yards and comfortable in deep water. Join us and take the first step toward becoming a lifeguard!

Join Karen from the Baby-Sitters Little Sister series as she plans a fun-filled sleepover! We’ll play games, create tasty snacks, and make crafty projects, all while sharing in the excitement of Karen’s big night. This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Students participating in these classes will check in with Friendship Connection, receive a snack, and have a brief recess before class begins.

Kids Trade Night
Events
Calling all Pokémon fans! Join us for an evening of Pokémon fun where kids will learn the basics of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, practice gameplay with friends, and create a Pokémon-themed craft to take home. Participants are encouraged to bring their own Pokémon cards. Kids may choose to trade cards with friends during the event; all trades are made at participants’ own agreement and risk. A limited number of card packs will be available to borrow and play with if needed. This is a family-style event. Parents or guardians are required to remain on site for the duration of the program. Concessions will be available for purchase during the event.

Join us for Open Swim or Lap Swim in our pool at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center! One session: $10 Five sessions: $40 Register and pay online or register and pay at the front desk at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center. Unused passes from the previous season are still valid. For any session that starts after 4:00pm or is on weekends, you must pay in advance and show confirmation at check in or pay in cash. We cannot accept credit cards during that time period. Please view our pool guidelines and safety regulations on the Aquatics FAQ page before using our facilities. One adult for every two children 14 years and younger must be present with them during swim times. Children left unattended will not be allowed to swim. Pool Closed: June 6 (after 6pm), June 13 (after 11:30am), June 19, June 24 (after 11:45am), June 27 (8-11:30am), July 4. There will not be lap swim or open swim on those dates. Hours are subject to change depending on staff availability.

Learn How to Play Mah Jongg - Beginner I

American Style Mah Jongg is an Ancient Chinese game similar to Gin Rummy except it is played with tiles instead of cards. Instructor Tarri Levine is a Director of Mah Jongg Tournaments, as well as, Mah Jongg enthusiast and Instructor. Rules, strategies and etiquette will be the focus of the class. Learn and Play With My Baby

We'll explore all areas of development in this class, especially for children in their first year of life (and parents and caregivers). Each week we will have activities to support a developmental area, such as physical, gross and fine motor, language, cognitive, social/emotional and more! We will participate with our infants and toddlers that support learning and growth in these areas and learn more about how parents and caregivers can support learning at home. This is a non-separating class. Ages 3 - 11 months as of class start date.

Is your child creative and crafty? In this class, Nena will teach students how to sew! Students will learn about basic techniques, different sewing tools, types of stitches, and how to use a sewing machine. They will create a sketch of garments and sew a project of their own design. Student can work at their own pace to sew new and exciting projects!

Join us for an evening mixing, baking, and decorating your own charming 8-inch cake to take home and share with family, friends or co-workers. No prior decorating experience is required, and everything will be provided for you; you'll see that great results don't always need special tools. Let's Probate an Actual Minnesota Estate (Online Class)

In this class we will walk-thru (in depth) an actual Minnesota Probate Estate from the filing of the Application for Probate to the Final Accounts . . . and all the steps in between. Class participants will learn the entire process with current forms, Court and filing requirements, accounting and procedural steps, as well as the procedures for the sale and distribution of estate assets. We will also discuss the roles, responsibilities, and liabilities of a person who is appointed as the Executor/Personal Representative. The class will be filled with real-life examples and solutions to the multitude of issues involving a typical (or not typical) Minnesota Probate Estate. This class encourages questions: Is there a “reading of the Will”? What about personal items? Does the Executor get paid? What about estate bills and creditors? We will provide the answers.
