Learn How to Play Mah Jongg - Beginner II
Picking out a hand is one of the biggest challenges a new player faces when playing Mah Jongg. This class will focus on strategies on how to pick out a hand and 'punting' (changing hands mid-game) when playing Mah Jongg using the current NMJL card. Students provide their own 2025 NMJL card. Learning materials will be provided. Prerequisite: Completion of Learn to Play Mah Jongg Beg I or similar course. Whether you are finally tackling those unfinished projects, need help with a tricky technique, or want to show off your latest sewing triumph, it’s always more fun sewing with friends. Bring a project of your choice to work on, sewing machine, and supplies. You may bring a snack to share if you choose. All sewers welcome. Sewing: Intermediate Apparel; Knits
Art
Have you felt intimidated or scared to sew with knit fabrics? Or been frustrated when you’ve tried? We’ll demystify knits and eliminate frustrations and sew a garment of your choice in class that you’ll wear with pride. Students should be comfortable with machine sewing and familiar working with and reading patterns. Week 1, bring sewing machine and basic supplies. Week 2-6, bring sewing machine, supplies, and project materials. You will need to bring your own sewing machine! Int Apparel Sewing Supply List: Sewing machine in good working order with bobbin -must have zigzag stitch function Knit fabric to practice on and test stitches (can be yardage, fabric scraps, an old t-shirt, etc) One package assorted size Ballpoint needles Thread Scissors Pins Ruler or seam gauge Tape measure Fabric marking pen or pencil Seam ripper Please budget $25-$50 for pattern, fabric, and notions for your class project - selections will be made after first class. SilverSneakers
Fitness
The SilverSneakers Fitness Program can open the door to better health, greater independence, and a more fulfilling life. It is an equipment-based, multi-level, total-body conditioning class in which students use hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, a SilverSneakers playball, and a chair for standing and/or seated support. Exercises will work all major and minor muscle groups, addressing strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, balance, coordination, agility, speed, and power. SilverSneakers is a class for everyone. All equipment is provided. Purchase a SilverSneakers Drop-in Pass Card! Valid for SilverSneakers classes only. Bring your card each time you come to class. Punch card will be given to you on your first attended open gym. One punch per person, per visit. Not responsible for lost or stolen cards. Non-refundable. Open to ages 18+ No expiration date. CLOSED December 22 - January 2. Calendar subject to change!

The Snow Fort Building activity is a collaborative outdoor winter experience that encourages older students to work together to design and construct snow forts using teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. As they plan, shape, and build with snow, students develop spatial awareness, communication skills, and physical coordination. Sound Healing, through various techniques and technologies, is the educated and conscious use of the energy of sound to reach identified goals and promote wellness in the human system – including the expansion of consciousness. Sound Healing is founded on the premise that all matter is vibrating at specific frequencies. In this class you will need a mat and a pillow, perhaps a blanket, as you relax and enjoy the playing of 7 chakra singing bowls and other modes of sound healing.
