My First Field Trip: Poplar Hill Dairy Goat Farm
As part of our My First Field Trip series, our littlest learners will experience their very first field trip with a visit to Poplar Hill Dairy Goat Farm. Students will enjoy a guided tour of the animal barns, learn how the animals are cared for, explore the history of the farm, and even have the chance to try milking a goat by hand.Designed for first-time field trippers, this outing builds confidence, curiosity, and independence while introducing students to new places and experiences beyond the classroom.We require all children to be fully potty trained to participate in field trips. This means they can go to the bathroom and clean up independently.

Robotic Builders with Tech Academy

Yes, we CAN learn about robotics! With the LEGO® WeDo robotics system, young children can build and program their robotic creations. Designed by the experts at MIT, this unique system teaches children about simple machines, engineering, programming, and so much more. Young imaginations soar! The LEGO® Education WeDo Robotics Builder class allows students to explore different concepts in robotics. Possible models may include dancing birds, a hungry alligator robot, goal kicker robot, a rescue plane, and a smart spinner robot. Journey to the magical world of Harry Potter and other magical lands. Build and program magical-themed projects. Young imaginations soar! Students will be taught foundational building and introduced to programming concepts by learning about sensors, motors, and special technics components using LEGO® WeDo systems. Possible projects include magic chest, dragons, hippogriff, magic hat, magic carpet, and magical staircase. Students will be working in pairs. Unleash your creativity as you work collaboratively! Create a world with others in multiple unique, themed escape room adventure maps. Our mission is to race through the end and escape the Ender Dragon. Students will get a copy of the world to continue at home. We will be using the PC/Java edition of Minecraft. Jump into a week of Nintendo-themed fun where technology and creativity collide! Students will begin by creating stop-motion movies starring Mario and friends, learning how to plan, animate, and edit their own short films. As the week continues, they’ll shift into coding, building Nintendo-inspired games such as maze challenges, coin-catching adventures, and drawing with Pikachu. Each day introduces a new hands-on project that blends coding, animation, and storytelling while encouraging creativity and problem-solving. Basic reading skills are recommended. In this exciting camp, students will create their very own super-tools, design fun or fearsome custom mobs, and invent tasty new foods to keep their characters energized. Using MCreator for Minecraft: Java Edition, students will learn the basics of coding logic while building and testing their mods. Become a Pokémon master of 3D design by creating your very own Pokémon characters with TinkerCAD. Students will explore CAD modeling, experiment with shapes and features, and bring their digital creatures to life with 3D printers. Along the way, they will also experiment with SimLab and design Pokémon-themed video games, combining creativity with hands-on technology. Extreme Robo-Games: Battlebot Olympics with Tech Academy

Students will team up in groups of two to three to explore the LEGO® Mindstorms robotic system and specialized Technic™ engineering components. Each day, they will design and program robots to take on exciting Olympic-style challenges that test strength, speed, and creativity. Throughout the camp, students will be encouraged to re-engineer their creations, making them stronger, faster, and more innovative. Escape the Labyrinth: VR Game Development with Tech Academy

Design, develop, and create 3D virtual reality environments and characters to build your own VR games! Students will start with smaller projects to learn the basics of coding, design, and interaction. In the final two days, they will construct a full labyrinth complete with challenges, characters, and immersive exploration. This camp is ideal for students passionate about technology and creativity! VR projects can be viewed on most mobile devices and VR systems such as Oculus.
