Wooden Mosaic Star
Unleash your creativity and craftsmanship while you create a one-of-a-kind piece of wooden mosaic art in this hands-on workshop! In this session, students will craft a beautiful Mosaic Star from pre-cut wooden pieces. Whether you choose a rustic, modern, or whimsical style, your creation will reflect your personality since you'll have the freedom to paint or stain each piece to your liking. Once decorated, the pieces will be carefully arranged and assembled into a striking star-shaped mosaic using wood glue and a pin nailer. Each week, you and your child will experience a children’s book by Ezra Jack Keats. We will have opportunities to create crafts, enjoy activities and play literacy games that support the theme of the book. This class will help lay the groundwork for a love of reading by participating in read-alouds of Peter’s Chair, The Snowy Day and more! This is a non-separating class. Ages 2-5 years as of the class start date.

Tantalizing Thai Cuisine (Participation Class)

You’ll begin by preparing Vietnamese summer rolls (fresh) served with both hoisin and peanut sauce for dipping. Included are Vietnamese spring rolls (fried) with pork, turkey, and glass noodles stuffed in rice paper and fried crisp and golden. You'll then prepare Pad Thai blending the vibrant flavors of Thailand with rice noodles, breast of chicken, eggs, chilies, garlic, basil, scallions, bean sprouts, and more. For dessert, Thai lime custard topped with fresh whipped cream. Please note: this class is non-refundable in the event of weather cancellations. Children love containers! They use containers to play, create, eat, and store things. Stacking, dumping, filling boxes and buckets is part of play! We will develop language as we name and describe containers by color, size, shape and function. Exploring math and seeing how much and what containers can hold and also creating art using containers will be part of this class. This is a non-separating class. The Magical Ice Palaces of Saint Paul

Ice palaces, those magical transparent structures that glisten in the cold winter daylight and turn into fantastic light shows in the frigid night air, have been a part of the community culture of Saint Paul since 1886. In this robust visual presentation by Ice Palace Historian, Bob Olsen, you will explore how Minnesota became one of the few places on earth that host ice palaces for over 100 years. If you are new to Minnesota or just want to learn more about this unique architectural form, this course should be on your “must see” bucket list. Thyroid Things You Need To Know (Online Class)

If you currently take thyroid medication but are still gaining weight and still have a variety of symptoms, there’s more you need to know. Fatigue, weight gain, depression, anxiety, rising cholesterol levels, inability to focus, thinning hair, digestive problems, abnormal blood pressure, reduced sex drive, and heart palpitations are only some of the symptoms. In this workshop, we’ll discuss how thyroid function can make any illness worse; the 5 things that need to be measured, but usually aren’t; why the #1 thyroid replacement may not be helping you; connection between thyroid, fibromyalgia and arthritis; foods that help or hinder; commonly misunderstood rules of how and when to take thyroid meds; environmental triggers and info you need to discuss with your doctor. This workshop is a source of information only and should by no means be considered a substitute for the advice of a qualified medical professional. In this hands-on course, students will learn how to create fun and engaging toys for cats and dogs which will then be donated to a local animal shelter. From tug toys and treat puzzles to felt mice and feathered wands, campers will use simple materials and big creativity to bring joy to furry friends in need.

Tracking Dracula

This is the story of two men—one a writer, the other a warlord, who lived in different countries in different centuries, and how their lives intertwined to create the most memorable villain of all time—Count Dracula. In 1897 Bram Stoker’s novel, Dracula, launched an entire genre of literature and film about vampires. Join him as we track Dracula from a crypt in Dublin, to the ruins of Whitby Abbey in England, to castles in Romania once frequented by Vlad Tepes, aka “Vlad the Impaler.”

Most people believe that their trust shields the assets from the nursing home and creditors. In Minnesota, Revocable Trusts are subject to the nursing home and creditors. Health and Wellness
DASH Sports Sampler camps provide players with an introductory experience to two popular sports games. This camp includes instruction in Soccer and T-ball. Little athletes will learn how to run, throw, catch, kick, and more! This camp ends on the final day with fun scrimmages and games. Participants should bring a baseball glove, water bottle and wear athletic clothing & shoes. All other equipment is provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.
