Learn How to Play Mah Jongg - Beginner II
Picking out a hand is one of the biggest challenges a new player faces when playing Mah Jongg. This class will focus on strategies on how to pick out a hand and 'punting' (changing hands mid-game) when playing Mah Jongg using the current NMJL card. Students provide their own 2025 NMJL card. Learning materials will be provided. Prerequisite: Completion of Learn to Play Mah Jongg Beg I or similar course. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date.Late Registration: If you miss the deadline but are still interested, you can contact the Community Ed office by emailing us at CommunityEd@isd623.org or calling: 651-604-3770. Space may be limited, but we'll try our best to accommodate late registrations.Refund PolicyIf you need to cancel your registration, in order to receive a refund, you must notify Roseville Area Schools Community Education at least one (1) week prior to start date of the class/event/camp/activity, and that I will be issued a refund minus a $5 service charge. Registrations are not refunded in the event of a weather cancellation.

Fall Theater Club with Character Kids Drama
Sing! Dance! Act! Join us right after school as we play theater games, learn music and choreography from musicals, and act out a short script. Each session will feature new material, so new and returning students are welcome. Through the performing arts, students will develop imagination, social skills, and a positive self-image. Families are invited to a showcase on the last day of class!

Afterschool Lacrosse with DASH Sports
Health and Wellness
DASH Sports Lacrosse camps provide participants an introductory experience to the game. Athletes will learn basic lacrosse fundamentals including stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting, all in a fun, non-checking environment. This is a non-contact camp, helmets and gloves are not required but can be brought with and worn. Sticks and balls are provided.

Afterschool Multi-Sports Camp with DASH Sports
Health and Wellness
DASH Sports Multi-Sport camp includes fun skills training and games in three sports: Soccer, Flag Football, and Basketball. Campers come out of this camp with a great understanding of key skill components and gameplay of each sport. Athletes should bring a water bottle and athletic shoes and clothing. Balls and all other equipment are provided.

Each day offers a new creative project from animal figures and pinch pots to nature prints and imaginative creatures. Around the World at the Zoo - Field trip to the Como Zoo

Join us for a globe-trotting adventure without ever leaving St. Paul! On our "Around the World at the Zoo" day, students will explore the incredible diversity of animals from across the continents right at Como Zoo. As young explorers, students will "travel" to different regions of the world—Africa, Asia, South America, the Arctic, and beyond—visiting animals native to each environment and learning how their unique habitats shape their survival.

Birthday Party Packages at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center
Special Interest
Host your child's next birthday party with us at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center! Your party will have access to the new Aŋpétu Téča Education Center gymnasium and one community room for gifts and cake. Let's get this party started! If you have any questions before reserving your package, feel free to call or email us! $225 Package: Have up to 20 guests! (Adult/parent supervision is required at all times.) Your party will have access to a private community room rental for presents, cake, and celebration! Tables and chairs will be provided by us. Your party will get exclusive access to our gymnasium for up to 3 hours, including set-up time! Choose from basketballs, dodgeballs, soccer balls, or hula hoops/jump ropes for your party to play with! For an extra fee, you can add on: $100 for an extra hour of party time. $25 for additional equipment rental. To complete your registration, please contact our registration desk at 651-604-3770. Please reach out to schedule birthday parties by the 15th of the month prior in order to help us ensure staffing for your event date and determine if there are any scheduling conflicts. Example: For a February 8th party, please schedule with us by January 15th. You can still request a party after that timeline, but please know that availability may be more limited.

In this eco-friendly course, students will explore the importance of recycling and sustainability while using cardboard and other recyclable materials to bring their creative visions to life. This fall, children will take part in a meaningful hands-on activity that weaves together both creativity and culture. As they create their own woven pieces, children will also discover the cultural stories behind this timeless art form, making it a rich and reflective way to celebrate both fall and global traditions.
