Holiday Gift “Cold Process” Beginning Soap Making
Are you interested in learning a new hobby? Come and join the holiday fun! Make your own crafted holiday soaps and surprise for friends and family with some special holiday gifts! You will learn the cold making process. All of the materials will be supplied by instructor. At the end of class, you will have a completely holiday handmade batch of 6-8 bars of soap to use as gifts or for yourself! The soaps will take 4-6 weeks to “cure” and will be ready just in time for holiday gifts!$15.00 will be paid directly to the instructor for supplies.

Online registration is available until 4:00 p.m. the day prior to session. Schedules will be posted weekly. *Preregistration required. Limit of 24 participants.Current Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 7:30 - 9:30 PM OPEN PICKLEBALL (No Instructor)Pickleball is a fun and popular game that is a combination of several classic games - badminton, tennis and table tennis! It is easy for beginners of all ages to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced game for experienced players. People of all ages and athletic abilities will find that pickleball is an enjoyable sport with straightforward rules. Open play means that all players of any skill level are invited to play on the courts. Players rotate in and out of games to ensure everyone has the opportunity to play. Bring your own paddle, game balls and nets are provided (limited number of extra paddles available). 3 courts available for play. Follow the pickleball rules and guidelines stated in the USAPA rulebook. Court shoes must be worn. Open to ages 18+. No refunds will be issued for non-attendance. Fees are non-transferable and cannot be applied to another day. Be courteous of all skill levels and enjoy playing! No reserved courts.

In this class we will learn the answers to: What are the roles and responsibilities of these people? How long do they serve and how much of a time commitment are we asking? How much guidance can we give them? Who makes an ideal selection for each of these vastly different roles? Who makes a bad selection for these roles? What pitfalls and problems should we be aware of? Each of these jobs: Attorney-In-Fact, Health Care Agent, Estate Executor, Trustee and Guardian are vastly different jobs that benefit you and they deserve careful thought. Elder financial abuse, also known as financial exploitation, is the illegal or unauthorized use of an older adult’s funds or resources for the benefit of someone other than the older adult. This includes fraud, theft, and act of deception to gain control over a senior’s money or property. You will learn about common types of financial abuse, indicators, and signs, how to report and get help. This class is for older adults and their families.

Q & A Seminar with a Minnesota Will and Trust Planning Attorney

This is a relaxed and friendly open-forum seminar for participants with a seasoned Will & Trust attorney. Questions like: Should I avoid Probate? Is a Will good enough? Do I need a Trust? How does my plan deal with the nursing home? How do we gift the assets of husband and wife? What about separate assets not of the marriage? If I am alone, what tools protect me best? How do I decide who should serve in my estate plan? What is the death tax? How do I avoid leaving a mess for my children? Which Trust is best for my needs? Can I use a Transfer-On-Death Deed? How do my retirement assets operate in my Will or Trust? All questions will be answered!

This is a comprehensive, 5-hour, retirement planning course broken into two, 2.5-hour, evening sessions that includes a 100 page book all for $49. We cover maximizing income sources like social security, annuities, pensions and investment withdrawals. We discuss minimizing taxes and tax diversification in tax deferred and tax free accounts like Roth IRAs, Roth 401(k)s, Roth conversions and Health Savings Accounts. We include an investment education section on stocks, bonds and mutual funds. We dive into retirement risk management including Medicare, Medicaid, disability insurance, long term care and life insurance. And we close with high level estate planning.
