Ceramics Wheel Throwing
Learn the basics of creating pottery on the wheel. This class is designed for the beginner as well as individuals who wish to continue developing their skills on the potter’s wheel. Each class will include a demonstration and independent work time. The instructor will assist you with developing basic throwing skills as well as advanced techniques. Participants will learn how to create cylinders, bowls, vases, mugs, and more. This is a great class to learn at your own pace and have fun. No class on September 23 or November 4. Pick up date: December 2.Supply fee of $25 payable to the instructor. Late Registration: If you miss the deadline but are still interested, you can contact the Community Ed office by emailing us at CommunityEd@isd623.org or calling: 651-604-3770. Space may be limited, but we'll try our best to accommodate late registrations. Refund PolicyIf you need to cancel your registration, in order to receive a refund, you must notify Roseville Area Schools Community Education at least one (1) week prior to start date of the class/event/camp/activity, and that I will be issued a refund minus a $5 service charge. Registrations are not refunded in the event of a weather cancellation.

Once you have registered for the class, you can choose which way you want to participate. Each day you will receive an email with the link for the Zoom class so you can choose to come in-person, or dance in your living room! All in-person Jazzercise classes are held at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center, 1910 County Rd B W, Roseville. Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays: Cardio SculptA high intensity 60 minute mix of dance-based cardio and strength training for a calorie-crushing total body workout. Not only will you rock it to fresh pulse-pounding music, we also target the 3 major muscle groups – upper body, abs and legs – so, you’ll feel it where you need it!Tuesdays: Sculpt60Sculpt60: A hardcore mix of standing and floor work targets the major muscle groups to build strength and carve your curves. Weights, tubes and natural resistance engage your muscles while red-hot playlists distract you from the burn.Wednesdays: Interval CardioSculptOur signature dance-based class format with a metabolism-boosting twist. Alternate between high and low intensity dance-based cardio intervals (HIIT) for 40 minutes followed by 20 minutes of strength training and stretch. This class will have you working at your maximum to burn calories long after class is over.Fridays: alternate between PowerSculpt45 and CardioSculpt45 PowerSculpt45: We pump up the power in this circuit-based 45 minute class to work every angle of your body. Focused muscle pumping sets will challenge your strength, and the amplified dance moves will crank up your cardio.CardioSculpt45: Our signature class format packed into 45 minutes. Set to your favorite top hits, this full-body workout combines high intensity, dance-based cardio with strength training and stretching. The perfect way to start your weekend.

Junior Lifeguard
Youth Lessons
Dive into lifesaving skills with our Junior Lifeguard Class! This program is designed for youth (ages 13+) aspiring to be lifeguards and want to build confidence in the water, develop essential rescue skills, and learn about water safety in a fun and structured environment. Participants will receive hands-on training in: Water rescues and basic first aid CPR and emergency response techniques Teamwork, leadership, and responsibility This class is a great stepping stone for future lifeguard certification and is perfect for strong swimmers looking to challenge themselves while having fun. While this is not a certification course, students will gain valuable skills and knowledge to prepare for a future in aquatics safety. This is both water and land based learning. Prerequisites: Must be a proficient swimmer, with the ability to swim able to swim 150 yards and comfortable in deep water. Join us and take the first step toward becoming a lifeguard!

Parkview Pool is kept at a cooler temperature, ideal for lap swimming, water exercise, and competitive swim. This 6-lane, 25-yard pool also features a 3–5 foot depth and includes an 11-foot diving well. Please note: Diving skills are taught only at the Parkview Pool due to the availability of the diving well. Parents MUST remain in the building during lessons and should stay within eyesight of the pool for quick contact if needed. *Please note that there is no possibility to pro-rate fees, switch or make-up dates*

These aquatics sessions are designed for children ages 9 months to 5 years old! Children are accompanied by a parent or adult in the pool as they learn to enjoy and explore the water. Promoting water safety from a young age will help to keep your child safe as they become more self-confident and believe in their abilities. The pool can also provide a lot of entertainment and enjoyment for young ones! A minimum of one adult per child is required to be in the water. *Please note that there is no possibility to pro-rate fees, switch or make-up dates*

Youth Lessons
This course focuses on water skills for children ages 3 to 5 that are ready to swim on their own! Students will build on their water skills and grow their independence. Promoting water safety from a young age will help to keep your child safe as they become more self-confident and believe in their abilities. Skills taught: Enter & Exit water from side Blow bubbles with nose (humming) Bobbing Front float for 3+ seconds Back float for 3+ seconds Jelly fish float for 3+ seconds Roll from back to front Roll from front to back Front glide (one body length) Back glide (one body length) “Scooping” and kicking on front 5 feet Flutter kicking on back 5 feet Elementary backstroke arms 5 feet (w/ support) Swim, Float, Swim 10 feet (w/ support) Jump in (w/ support) Follows Directions Water Safety Skills Note: Students who are still working on potty training MUST wear appropriate swim diapers and plastic covers.
