Scones
Traditionally Scottish scones are a delectable quick bread that comes in assorted shapes. Enjoy a variety of easy scone recipes including Lemon Cream Scones and the traditional Currant Scone. We will taste wonderful lemon curd and traditional Devonshire cream or whipped cream for tea as we try our scones warm out of the oven. We will also make a White Chocolate Spread for our creations. Bring a container so you can save your scones, which can be frozen and reheated. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date.Late Registration: If you miss the deadline but are still interested, you can contact the Community Ed office by emailing us at CommunityEd@isd623.org or calling: 651-604-3770. Space may be limited, but we'll try our best to accommodate late registrations.

This course is for adults and teenagers ages 15+ who are first-time swimmers! These classes are designed to teach you basic swim skills, such as: breath control, submerging underwater, floats, glides, and forward movement on front and back. These classes are slower paced to help build confidence in and around water. Junior Lifeguard
Youth Lessons
Dive into lifesaving skills with our Junior Lifeguard Class! This program is designed for youth (ages 13+) aspiring to be lifeguards and want to build confidence in the water, develop essential rescue skills, and learn about water safety in a fun and structured environment. Participants will receive hands-on training in: Water rescues and basic first aid CPR and emergency response techniques Teamwork, leadership, and responsibility This class is a great stepping stone for future lifeguard certification and is perfect for strong swimmers looking to challenge themselves while having fun. While this is not a certification course, students will gain valuable skills and knowledge to prepare for a future in aquatics safety. This is both water and land based learning. Prerequisites: Must be a proficient swimmer, with the ability to swim able to swim 150 yards and comfortable in deep water. Join us and take the first step toward becoming a lifeguard!

Join us for Open Swim or Lap Swim in our pool at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center! One session: $10 Five sessions: $40 Register and pay online or register and pay at the front desk at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center. Unused passes from the previous season are still valid. For any session that starts after 4:00pm or is on weekends, you must pay in advance and show confirmation at check in or pay in cash. We cannot accept credit cards during that time period. Please view our pool guidelines and safety regulations on the Aquatics FAQ page before using our facilities. One adult for every two children 14 years and younger must be present with them during swim times. Children left unattended will not be allowed to swim. Pool Closed: June 6 (after 6pm), June 13 (after 11:30am), June 19, June 24 (after 11:45am), June 27 (8-11:30am), July 4. There will not be lap swim or open swim on those dates. Hours are subject to change depending on staff availability.

Please ensure you select the pool that best fits your child's needs: Aŋpétu Téča Education Center has a warm-water pool maintained at 86°F year-round. With a depth ranging from 3 feet 6 inches to 5 feet, this 4-lane, 25-yard pool provides a comfortable learning environment for younger swimmers or those new to lessons. Parkview Pool is kept at a cooler temperature, ideal for lap swimming, water exercise, and competitive swim. This 6-lane, 25-yard pool also features a 3–5 foot depth and includes an 11-foot diving well. Please note: Diving skills are taught only at the Parkview Pool due to the availability of the diving well. Parents MUST remain in the building during lessons and should stay within eyesight of the pool for quick contact if needed. *Please note that there is no possibility to pro-rate fees, switch or make-up dates*

These aquatics sessions are designed for children ages 9 months to 5 years old! Children are accompanied by a parent or adult in the pool as they learn to enjoy and explore the water. Promoting water safety from a young age will help to keep your child safe as they become more self-confident and believe in their abilities. The pool can also provide a lot of entertainment and enjoyment for young ones! A minimum of one adult per child is required to be in the water. *Please note that there is no possibility to pro-rate fees, switch or make-up dates*
