Scones
Traditionally Scottish scones are a delectable quick bread that comes in assorted shapes. Enjoy a variety of easy scone recipes including Lemon Cream Scones and the traditional Currant Scone. We will taste wonderful lemon curd and traditional Devonshire cream or whipped cream for tea as we try our scones warm out of the oven. We will also make a White Chocolate Spread for our creations. Bring a container so you can save your scones, which can be frozen and reheated. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date.Late Registration: If you miss the deadline but are still interested, you can contact the Community Ed office by emailing us at CommunityEd@isd623.org or calling: 651-604-3770. Disco Splash!
Join us for Disco Splash! Dance your heart out with our fun, high intensity aerobics class! Participants will do a combination of dance and water exercise while utilizing both shallow and deep water. Participants must pre-register online/over the phone or at the doorThis is a high impact exercise class that will have loud music playing in the background. Course is not recommended for those with limited mobility or joint issues and participants must be able to maintain balance without assistance for the duration of class.

ACT Prep Workshop

ZAPS test-preparation seminars are designed to help each student do their personal best on the ACT. In the five-hour seminar, students will learn: Strategies for using partial knowledge to eliminate wrong choices Tips for improving in all four sub tests (English, Math, Reading and Science) Tactics for using limited testing time Take shortened practice tests that mirror the actual testing experience Reduce test anxiety and gain confidence Receive a comprehensive Study Guide and 24 practice test workouts with detailed answer explanations Get suggestions for individualized study in the days leading up to the test Motivational instruction and hands-on practice will help you understand your strengths and weaknesses.

Cake Bake Taste Test Camp
Cooking
Students will get to test and taste different baking recipes of cakes and observe the differences between them. This fun, tasty take on a measurable science experiment will leave students wanting more as we explore how different ingredients and their amounts impact the texture, density, and taste of a cake. We’ll also experiment with cooking methods, including air fryer cakes, toaster oven cakes, and microwave cakes. Please identify any food allergies or restrictions at the start of class or upon registration. This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school. Students participating in these classes will check in with Friendship Connection, receive a snack, and have a brief recess before class begins.

Dungeons & Dragons One Shot with Tech Academy

Online Virtual Class: Join us on an epic adventure for all ages and experience levels. D&D is a timeless role-playing game that helps kids develop math, storytelling, and collaboration skills. Work in small groups of 4-7 students to complete this one-shot campaign! Home Technical Requirements: Computer: PC (Windows 10 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GB of RAM Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones DO NOT Work. Internet: Broadband internet Webcam, Microphone and Speakers Zoom Installed on Computer, zoom link will be sent before class. Students should be comfortable using a PC, mouse, and keyboard. To ensure classes run as scheduled, registration for all Youth Enrichment programs will close the Wednesday before the start date. Be sure to register early to reserve your spot! Gym Birthday Party Packages at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center
Special Interest
Host your child's next birthday party with us at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center! Your party will have access to the new Aŋpétu Téča Education Center gymnasium and one community room for gifts and cake. Let's get this party started! If you have any questions before reserving your package, feel free to call or email us! $225 Package: Have up to 20 guests! (Adult/parent supervision is required at all times.) Your party will have access to a private community room rental for presents, cake, and celebration! Tables and chairs will be provided by us. Your party will get exclusive access to our gymnasium for up to 3 hours, including set-up time! Choose from basketballs, dodgeballs, soccer balls, or hula hoops/jump ropes for your party to play with! For an extra fee, you can add on: $100 for an extra hour of party time. $25 for additional equipment rental. To complete your registration, please contact our registration desk at 651-604-3770. Please reach out to schedule birthday parties by the 15th of the month prior in order to help us ensure staffing for your event date and determine if there are any scheduling conflicts. Example: For a February 8th party, please schedule with us by January 15th. You can still request a party after that timeline, but please know that availability may be more limited.

In this week-long “Me Days!” club, students will focus on their own health and wellness through fun, calming, and energizing activities. Each day promotes self-care and balance with experiences like music yoga, hydration stations, and mindful listening walks both inside and outside the school. This wellness-focused week helps students build healthy habits, improve self-awareness, and take time to care for their minds and bodies in a supportive, engaging environment.

Mandala Coasters with Acrylic Studio Art

A Mandala Coasters class focuses on creating intricate and artistic designs inspired by the traditional mandala patterns, commonly representing harmony and balance. Participants will learn how to draw or paint mandala patterns, often starting from a central point and expanding outwards with geometric shapes and symbols. Multiplayer Minecraft: City Builder with Tech Academy
