We'll begin with "Empanadas ", pastries filled with beef, tomatoes, potatoes and herbs. Flautas are next with chicken in a jalapeno/garlic paste and fried crisp in a corn tortillas. We'll then prepare authentic Mexican rice prepared with onions, garlic, tomatoes and fresh cilantro along with Mexican style corn prepared with lime aioli, cayenne pepper and Cotija cheese. Fajitas follow with tender strips of marinated beef and chicken with fresh sauteed bell peppers and onions wrapped in a warm tortilla shell. We’ll finish this fiesta with a Yucatecan-style delight, fresh coconut blended with rich custard in a wonderful nutty crust, baked to a caramelly brown, and served with crème fraȋche. Challenge yourself and build your language expertise with an overview of the subjunctive in Spanish. The Spanish subjunctive is a special verb form used to express uncertainty, possibility, mood, and expressions. Ability to access zoom and basic working computer knowledge essential. Applicable to students who completed Advanced Spanish Part 1 or have had more than two years of the Spanish language.

Always dreamed of learning Spanish or refreshing your high school Spanish? Then this class is for you! The primary focus of the class will be on building conversational tools in Spanish through interactive practice and exercises. Vocabulary topics will include common greetings and introductions, pronunciation, numbers, food, clothing, likes and dislikes. Grammar topics will include subject pronouns, the verb estar conjugation, gender of nouns, and plurality. Participants will learn how to carry on small conversations in Spanish and each class will include interesting cultural anecdotes including Spanish word origin, dialect differences, and names in Spanish. Participants will continue with practical conversational components and builder phrases in Spanish enabling them to carry on small conversations related to giving and asking for directions and restaurant conversation. Vocabulary and grammar components will include weather, seasons, dates with months, days of the week, family vocabulary along with the verbs ser and tener conjugations. Real life scenarios will be introduced and role played in Spanish to ensure a dynamic and interactive learning environment. Participants will also be delving into more complex grammatical instruction and vocabulary to create full sentences in Spanish. This will include present tense conjugation with ER & IR verbs, hobbies, sports, and workplace vocabulary in Spanish. Exciting culture discussions are related to music, dance, and famous people in Spanish speaking countries. Applicable to new students and previous Spanish Conversation participants.

Dig out your best attire and get ready to dance, party and relive the high school prom experience! Tuxedos, suits, sport coats, new or old outfits, formal dresses, bridesmaid dresses, sundresses - anything goes, and repeat outfits are welcome. Your admission includes the dance, a live DJ, tasty snacks, and an exciting photo booth! This is a great event for your friend group, or a romantic date night with your partner. Using an Air Fryer to cook vegetables is quick—and the healthy results are delicious! In this live online class Kirsten will demonstrate a variety of recipes using in-season local and/or commonly available vegetables including Lemon Pepper Broccoli, Miso Sesame Kale Chips, and Roasted Sweet Potatoes. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. Have you ever wanted to try your hand at Abstract Art that is fun and Colorful? Alcohol Ink (AI) is a new painting technique that just screams ABSTRACT. First, you will create an outline of a vase in any shape you want. Then you will use AI ink with your choice of colors to fill in the vase. Use your imagination! Then you will create the funky flowers by putting down drop of any AI color and blowing it out with an airbrush. You will be laughing at how the different color combination create a unique look. Best part – if you don’t like a part of your picture, you can wipe it off with ISO alcohol. You will use markers to create stems and leaves. Once your flower picture is complete, you can make a second picture or play on your own. Your instructor will have ideas. $15 supply fee payable to instructor the night of class. With so many different techniques, AI is sure to become one of your favorite mediums. In this class, you’ll start by choosing your favorite colors to create a stunning background. Then, using a hand blower, you’ll bring beautiful flowers to life on your canvas. Your instructor will guide you through each step of the process, ensuring you feel supported and inspired. You’ll create one 8” x 11” masterpiece in your selected colors, and if time allows, you can experiment with a second painting, adding your own variations. Come ready to have fun and unleash your creativity! The best part? If you’re not satisfied with any part of your artwork, simply wipe it away with ISO alcohol and start fresh. Let’s get colorful! Join this class, to make 4 beautiful Alcohol Ink (AI) glass Glitter Ornaments After prepping the ornaments, the instructor will discuss and demo various processes of working with AI. Then you will pick colors of your choice to create unique ornament for yourself or as a gift. Note: Each ornament can reflect the same color scheme or each ornament can be a different color scheme. Totally your choice! The ornaments are painted on the inside so the colors will last forever. Supply fee payable to instructor the night of class: $20.
