    Challenge your mind and body this summer! Campers will learn chess and play matches that make their brains sweat. They'll also play a variety of physical games to keep their bodies active! Chess skills will cover the beginner to intermediate player and physical games may include badminton, pickleball, tag games, and other indoor/outdoor games based on the ability level of the campers.
  • Coconuts and Crowns Drawing with Young Rembrandts

    Discover the beauty of Polynesia through drawing! In this 4-day workshop, children will create original characters like a spirited island girl and cheeky coconut creatures, as well as traditional Polynesian flower crowns. Artists will also illustrate breathtaking ocean scenes with Waʻa Kaulua boats and the serene landscapes of island huts and native plants.   • Courageous Connections: Feelings & Friendship + Heroic Hearts

    AM/ PM Camp only registration includes 3 hours of themed activities. Full day option includes both AM and PM Camps and "Lets Do Lunch at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center"- a supervised lunch, recess and optional rest time. We require all children to be fully potty trained to participate in camps. This means they can go to the bathroom and clean up independently.   • Engineering: Crazy Action Contraptions with Tech Academy

    Unleash your imagination as you journey through the wide-ranging world of LEGO® building. Students working in pairs will build models and discuss the engineering science behind each. This fun, hands-on class shows students how engineering can be fun and silly yet still educational. Students will then be challenged to improve the model and customize their creations.   • Intro to Computer Science with Python with Tech Academy

    Get a great head start in learning how to code as well as learning computer science concepts using one of the fundamental programming languages of professional developers: Python. Its syntax allows programmers to express concepts in fewer lines of code than possible in languages such as C++ or Java, making it the perfect coding language for beginners. Python is a text-based language, so students should have good keyboarding and basic computer skills. Bring a USB drive to save your games on the last day.     Let’s travel back in time, before the current buildings and the city, to the local tribes of the Dakota and Ojibwe. We will get the opportunity to learn how they engineered their homes, used the environment to their advantage, identified and foraged plants, crafted tools, and ate delicious wild rice! Students will explore and appreciate indigenous cultures as they learn about each topic.

  • K-2 Dodge Nature Center: Hens and Roosters Field Trip

    Experience the beauty of nature and engage in environmental education at Dodge. The most common farm animal in the world is also one of the most interesting. Get a very close look at the life cycle of chickens on our farm. Tour the coop, hold a chicken, check for eggs and see the free range flock as the roosters crow all the while.
  • K-2 ELPIS Birdfeeder Workshop

    With the guidance of Elpis staff, students will have the opportunity to build bird feeders and nesting boxes using reclaimed cedar wood from old fences. They’ll learn how to use the right tools, figure out the assembly steps, and watch their projects come to life! Elpis is a local non-profit that provides job training, work experience, and employment placement services for young people experiencing homelessness, teen parenting, or involvement in the foster care system. Elpis woodworking trainees manufacture ready-to-assemble project kits, like the kits our students used to make their bird feeders. Elpis interns and staff then lead experiential workshops using the pre-cut materials.

    Join us as we venture to the ultimate Indoor Adventure Park where kids of all ages can explore thrilling attractions, challenge their body and mind, and most importantly…have a blast! This is WAY more than a trampoline park. All participants must fill out a Urban Air Waiver before attending, this will be emailed out prior to the trip or you can fill one out upon drop off!
  • K-2 Franconia Sculpture Park and Fawn-Doe-Rosa Field Trip

    Have a blast touring the unique Franconia Sculpture Garden and playing on its one-of-a-kind playground. In the afternoon, we will venture to Fawn-Doe-Rosa to learn all about native MN & WI animals at Fawn-Doe-Rosa wildlife educational park! Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen and a lunch from home!

    Come have fun at Fun Lab! First, explore Ballocity, a three-story play area with climbing, sliding, and plenty of action. Next, test your skills in the Laser Maze, where you dodge lasers to make it through without triggering the alarms! Finish off with games at the Arcade, with something fun for everyone. It’s the perfect spot for a day of adventure and excitement

    Take a trip to Springbrook Nature Center for a fun day of hiking, birdwatching, and learning about nature! Explore three miles of scenic trails that wind through oak and aspen forests, prairies, and wetlands with floating boardwalks. Along the way, keep an eye out for local wildlife and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.
