Felted Vases, Vessels, and Bowls
Learn the fascinating art of seamless wet felting. Using wool and a variety of other natural fibers, felt a small vessel to hold trinkets, chocolates or to simply brighten up any shelf. Choose bright or natural colors, then “sculpt” your vessel into any shape from organic to contemporary. You can even make it reversible. Please note: some physical stamina need for felting classes. $25 supply fee, payable to instructor, includes a reusable felting kit and all fibers and supplies. Bring from home: 2-3 hand towels, 1 old bath towel and a plastic bag to carry home wet items. Optional: apron, bag lunch. Roseville Dance Team Kids Clinic
Come dance with the Roseville Dance Team! Open to boys and girls ages 3 -12. Come learn new dance skills and two fun routines in which you will perform alongside RDT in our annual winter show. Participants will be provided snack/lunch during the clinic as well as a t-shirt that they can keep and will wear for the winter show performance. Check in 10-10:30am at RAHS lower gym lobby, Clinic starts at 10:30am-12:30pm. Participants will stay with the dance team, then perform in the Roseville Dance Team Winter Show of which doors open at 12:30pm and the show begins at 1:00pm. The show should last 90-120 minutes.**PLEASE NOTE: All Registrations after 1/9 will not receive a T-Shirt

A Tex Mex Fiesta

We'll begin with "Empanadas ", pastries filled with beef, tomatoes, potatoes and herbs. Flautas are next with chicken in a jalapeno/garlic paste and fried crisp in a corn tortillas. We'll then prepare authentic Mexican rice prepared with onions, garlic, tomatoes and fresh cilantro along with Mexican style corn prepared with lime aioli, cayenne pepper and Cotija cheese. Fajitas follow with tender strips of marinated beef and chicken with fresh sauteed bell peppers and onions wrapped in a warm tortilla shell. We’ll finish this fiesta with a Yucatecan-style delight, fresh coconut blended with rich custard in a wonderful nutty crust, baked to a caramelly brown, and served with crème fraȋche. ACT Prep Workshop

ZAPS test-preparation seminars are designed to help each student do their personal best on the ACT. In the five-hour seminar, students will learn: Strategies for using partial knowledge to eliminate wrong choices Tips for improving in all four sub tests (English, Math, Reading and Science) Tactics for using limited testing time Take shortened practice tests that mirror the actual testing experience Reduce test anxiety and gain confidence Receive a comprehensive Study Guide and 24 practice test workouts with detailed answer explanations Get suggestions for individualized study in the days leading up to the test Motivational instruction and hands-on practice will help you understand your strengths and weaknesses.

Adult Conversational Spanish: Advanced Part 2 (Live Online Class)

Challenge yourself and build your language expertise with an overview of the subjunctive in Spanish. Continue building on previous Spanish skills to further develop conversational abilities in the language which will include expressing recommendations and comparisons. Real life scenarios will be introduced and role played in Spanish to ensure a dynamic and interactive learning environment. Participants will also be delving into more complex grammatical instruction and vocabulary to create full sentences in Spanish. This will include present tense conjugation with ER & IR verbs, hobbies, sports, and workplace vocabulary in Spanish. For ages 18+. Please note: Beginning November 1st, single visit drop-in passes are no longer available. We are now selling 5-visit punch cards that can be used at any drop-in session. Purchase an Open Pickleball Pass Card! Valid for 5 open pickleball sessions. Bring your card each time you come to class. Punch card will be given to you on your first attended open gym. The class is designed to help participants understand the mechanics of swimming by working on kicking efficiency, freestyle pull technique, backstroke, and breaststroke. Promoting water safety from a young age will help to keep your child safe as they become more self-confident and believe in their abilities. The pool can also provide a lot of entertainment and enjoyment for young ones! Please note: A minimum of one adult per child is required to be in the water.

On African American Inventors Day we will learn about different AA inventors from Augustus Jackson “The father of ice cream” to Alexander Miles the creator of the elevator! We will make our own ice cream, create elevators, roller coasters, and more! Afterschool Soccer with DASH Sports

DASH Sports soccer camps provide players a well-rounded soccer experience covering a broad range of soccer skills training (dribbling, passing, shooting, & defense) and skill-based games. Players will be challenged and grouped at an appropriate level while receiving instruction in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage on the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes and shin guards are optional). Balls are provided.

Afterschool Track and Field Camp with DASH Sports
Health and Wellness
DASH Sports Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: Sprinting, javelin throwing, shotput, relay running, jumping and distance running. Campers will be tested/timed and re-tested on several events. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should bring a water bottle and wear athletic shoes.

In this live online class Kirsten will demonstrate a variety of recipes using in-season local and/or commonly available vegetables including Lemon Pepper Broccoli, Miso Sesame Kale Chips, and Roasted Sweet Potatoes. Ever wanted to dive into the world of vibrant Abstract Art? Alcohol Ink (AI) is a new painting technique that screams ABSTRACT. With so many different techniques, AI is sure to become one of your favorite mediums. In this class, you’ll start by choosing your favorite colors to create a stunning background. Then, using a hand blower, you’ll bring beautiful flowers to life on your canvas. Your instructor will guide you through each step of the process, ensuring you feel supported and inspired. You’ll create one 8” x 11” masterpiece in your selected colors, and if time allows, you can experiment with a second painting, adding your own variations. Come ready to have fun and unleash your creativity! The best part? If you’re not satisfied with any part of your artwork, simply wipe it away with ISO alcohol and start fresh. Let’s get colorful!
