Elementary Chess Club with CSGA
Whether you consider yourself a beginner or intermediate player, join this club to meet and interact with other chess players in your school and play on a weekly basis. If they are new to the game, players will learn the basic rules and strategies of chess. Tournament play is encouraged outside of the club, but not required. Players are able to complete a full game and recognize a checkmate and stalemate Players can set and use a chess clock during a game Players are able to resolve a disagreement with & w/o adults present Players can explain the rules of chess (movement of the pieces, checkmate, & stalemate)

Adult Conversational Spanish: Beginner Part 1 (Live Online Class)

Always dreamed of learning Spanish or refreshing your high school Spanish? Then this class is for you! The primary focus of the class will be on building conversational tools in Spanish through interactive practice and exercises. Vocabulary topics will include common greetings and introductions, pronunciation, numbers, food, clothing, likes and dislikes. Grammar topics will include subject pronouns, the verb estar conjugation, gender of nouns, and plurality. Participants will learn how to carry on small conversations in Spanish and each class will include interesting cultural anecdotes including Spanish word origin, dialect differences, and names in Spanish. Adult Conversational Spanish: Beginner Part 2 (Live Online Class)

Learning a language is a lifelong journey and now you are on your way! Keep up the momentum in Beginner Spanish Part Two. Participants will continue with practical conversational components and builder phrases in Spanish enabling them to carry on small conversations related to giving and asking for directions and restaurant conversation. Vocabulary and grammar components will include weather, seasons, dates with months, days of the week, family vocabulary along with the verbs ser and tener conjugations. Culture discussions will include the importance of food, family, and friendships in Spanish speaking countries. Applicable to new students and previous Beginner Part 1 Spanish conversation participants. Ability to access zoom and basic working computer knowledge essential. Adult Conversational Spanish: Intermediate Part I (Live Online Class)

¿Hablas un poquito Español? Then this course is for you! Intermediate Spanish is specifically designed for the adult learner who has taken some Spanish in the past but wishes to improve conversational skills. Grammar and vocabulary concepts will include present tense AR verb conjugation, infinitive verbs, future tense with the verb IR, adverbs of frequency, useful prepositions, and more. Participants will practice conversation skills including learning how to make plans and discussing preferences in Spanish. Culture discussions will cover holiday traditions and celebrations in Spanish speaking countries. Like all Futura classes, a dynamic interactive approach will be used to keep the class fun and exciting! Afterschool Multi-Sports Camp with DASH Sports

DASH Sports Multi-Sport camp includes fun skills training and games in three sports: Soccer, Flag Football, and Basketball. Campers come out of this camp with a great understanding of key skill components and gameplay of each sport. Athletes should bring a water bottle and athletic shoes and clothing. Join this class, to make 4 beautiful Alcohol Ink (AI) glass Glitter Ornaments After prepping the ornaments, the instructor will discuss and demo various processes of working with AI. Then you will pick colors of your choice to create unique ornament for yourself or as a gift. Note: Each ornament can reflect the same color scheme or each ornament can be a different color scheme. Totally your choice! The ornaments are painted on the inside so the colors will last forever. Supply fee payable to instructor the night of class: $20. All About Seeds (Online Class)

Seeds are the foundation of a garden. This class is all about seeds and you will learn about choosing seeds, growing seeds, and saving seeds. This class is offered by the U of M Extension Master Gardener volunteers of Ramsey County, who are eager to share research-based gardening best practices with the people in their community. All Occasion Card Class
Art
In this class, you will create 25 all-occasion cards (five cards of five different designs). All materials will be cut and ready for you to stamp and assemble. Materials, envelopes and tools for you to create all 25 cards are included with registration. However, participants WILL NEED to bring their own adhesive (double stick tape, tape runner, glue stick) which can be found at most craft stores, or I will have some available for purchase the night of class. Cards may include birthday, sympathy, thank you or blank cards for your choice of sentiment. Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date.
