  • Women Only - Adult Beginner

    We are now offering an adult beginner swim lesson session that will be fully staffed by women, for women. This course is for women ages 15+ who are first-time swimmers! Come learn how to swim and build your confidence in and around water. This course is designed to teach you beginner swim skills, such as breath control, submerging underwater, floats, glides, and forward movement on your front and back.

    Triathlon Swimming

    Are you a runner or cyclist that is ready to take the plunge to do a triathlon but aren't super confident in your swim skills? Join us for a 6 week course that is designed to help adults, who are wanting to participate in a triathlon, gain the skills they need to do so successfully! Participants will learn appropriate breathing, kicking, and swim strokes for triathlon swimming. The course will also cover building endurance, equipment, pre-race warm up, water entry, sighting, drafting, and transitions. The course is taught by Julie Schneider, an experienced seven-time triathlete who began her swimming and biking adventures as an adult. She wants to encourage more middle-aged adults to get active and to participate in triathlons and other sporting events. Her knowledge has come mostly from experience over the years, supplemented by courses and seminars. Disclaimer: Participants must be confidant in the water and have the ability to do basic swim skills (floats, front crawl stroke, flutter kick).
