Triathlon Swimming

Aquatics / Adult Lessons -
Winter/Spring 2025

Are you a runner or cyclist that is ready to take the plunge to do a triathlon but aren't super confident in your swim skills? Join us for a 6 week course that is designed to help adults, who are wanting to participate in a triathlon, gain the skills they need to do so successfully! Participants will learn appropriate breathing, kicking, and swim strokes for triathlon swimming. The course will also cover building endurance, equipment, pre-race warm up, water entry, sighting, drafting, and transitions.

The course is taught by Julie Schneider, an experienced seven-time triathlete who began her swimming and biking adventures as an adult. She wants to encourage more middle-aged adults to get active and to participate in triathlons and other sporting events. Her knowledge has come mostly from experience over the years, supplemented by courses and seminars.

Disclaimer: Participants must be confidant in the water and have the ability to do basic swim skills (floats, front crawl stroke, flutter kick).
