Disco Splash!
Dance your heart out with our new high intensity aerobics class! This is a combination of different dance styles and water exercise to help burn off calories to different themed days. This is a higher impact exercise class that will have loud music playing in the background. Participants must be able to maintain balance without assistance for the duration of class. Course is not recommended for those with limited mobility or joint issues. Participants must pre-register online/over the phone or pay cash at the door.

3D Printing: Jewelry Fabrication & Arts with Tech Academy
Science & Technology
Bring your creations to life in this 3D printing class. The ancient craft of jewelry making is brought to the modern world using TinkerCad and 3D printers. Students will learn to build 2D and 3D models on the computer using CAD software. They will design and print a pair of earrings, a ring, or a pendant in this class. Additionally, they will get to bring home two of their 3D creations. Printing and material fees are included.

Engineering: Rube Goldberg Machines with Tech Academy
Science & Technology
Chain reactions! Design and build amazing moving machines and teach our Lego bricks new tricks! With an active imagination as your guide, there are endless possibilities. Students working in pairs will learn about physics and engineering concepts such as Velocity, Projectiles, Trajectories, Force, Motion, and more. Every day students will learn new ways to combine Legos to cause different chain reactions and, on the last day, design their own Rube Goldberg Machine.

Extreme Robo-Games: Battle Bot Olympics with Tech Academy
Science & Technology
Students will work in small teams using the EV3 Mindstorms Robotic Systems and specialized LEGO® Technic™ engineering components to build extreme robots and run programs to experiment with and overcome Olympic-style challenges. Students will then be challenged to morph their projects into better, stronger, or faster robots. Possible robotic projects include Shot Put Launcher, Flipping Gymnast, Sumobot, and more. Students will be working in small teams of 2-3.

Intro to 3D Printing & CAD with Tech Academy

This 3D printing camp takes students through the 3D printing process from start to finish. Students will design 3D objects using TinkerCAD and the 3D slicing program Cura to bring their creations to life. From industrial design and manufacturing to software and hardware engineering, the 3D printing industry is booming. This course is an excellent introduction to 3D printing and is ideal for students who like to draw, design, imagine, and see their creations come to life. Printing and material fees are included. Making it move is the name of this game! Students will love seeing their creations in motion using IR remote control Lego Mindstorm Components. Learn more about science, engineering, and technology while having FUN through hands-on projects. Students will explore robotic concepts in small teams by working through step-by-step projects and example programs. They will then have the opportunity to modify the builds and programs.

Rocket Builder Design Camp with CSGA
Science & Technology
Learn to build and launch your own rockets from everyday common materials. Multiple design, building, and recovery techniques will be experimented with. Use 3D design software to design and 3D print some of the parts for your models. These rockets are cheap to make so it removes the anxiety of “doing it wrong”! Build it and see what happens, within the rules of model rocketry. A rocket launch is part of the program. Launch equipment is provided. We may have time to use simulations to experiment with real rocket variables and try to find out what it takes to move an object beyond earth’s gravity and possibly to other planets.

Scratch Coding & Computer Games with CSGA

This camp offers a crash course in coding your own games on Scratch. Students will create and develop 3-4 basic games while learning many foundational computer science skills with boundless potential for creativity and expansion. Tailored for the beginner with little to no experience coding on Scratch, we will begin with the basics and have students creating their own detailed, personalized games by the end of the week. Students will come home with a mobile account containing their games to share and play with the whole family!
