Join us for an evening of creativity and teamwork at our first Family LEGO Competition! This fun-filled event invites families to unleash their imagination and build unique creations using everyone's favorite building blocks.What to Expect: Team Challenges: Families will compete in various challenges, showcasing their LEGO building skills and creativity. Prizes: Exciting LEGO-themed prizes will be awarded to the winning team in each challenge. Family Fun: Enjoy activities for all ages! Each participant will create their own LEGO mini-fig to bring home. Registration: The cost to register is $45 per team. Only one participant needs to register for their family. Check-in will begin at 4:45pm and the first build competition will start at 5:00pm. Lego Swap: There will be a LEGO swap table at the event. Please bring in your gently used LEGO sets to swap them for others that are new to you! Concessions: Light refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase (cash or credit card accepted). This event is perfect for all skill levels, whether you’re a seasoned builder or just starting out. Don’t miss this chance to create lasting memories with your family, ignite your creativity, and show off your LEGO skills! We can’t wait to see what your family builds.

Beginner Watercolor Painting II
This class is an extension of Beginning Watercolor I. In this class you will continue with beginning watercolor exercises that were learned in the Beginning I class. You can expect to complete 3-4 paintings. This class is open to any student that has taken the first beginning class from me and anyone who has a basic/general knowledge of watercolor painting. Supply list can be found here. Course Objective: Plan to experiment and explore the next level of traditional water color painting techniques – In this cases we will be continuing with the lessons from Beginning I class. This class is meant for those who have experience in watercolor painting. Our goal is to have at least 3 excellent paintings by the end of the session. Plan to have at least one group critique about mid way through the session.Please come prepared to discuss: what art is for you, what makes a good painting, why you want to be a painter, your interest, hobbies, and just all around conversations.Our first day: We will have brief introductions to include a discussion about our artistic styles. We will discuss what subjects we would like to paint, what specific painting style you would like to explore and other great insights that may arise.

¿Quieres ampliar tu Español? Then this is the course for you! Students will expand their skills learning new complex grammatical concepts and sentence structures. Challenge yourself and build your language expertise with an overview of the subjunctive in Spanish. The Spanish subjunctive is a special verb form used to express uncertainty, possibility, mood, and expressions. Ability to access zoom and basic working computer knowledge essential. Applicable to students who completed Advanced Spanish Part 1 or have had more than two years of the Spanish language.

The primary focus of the class will be on building conversational tools in Spanish through interactive practice and exercises. Vocabulary topics will include common greetings and introductions, pronunciation, numbers, food, clothing, likes and dislikes. Grammar topics will include subject pronouns, the verb estar conjugation, gender of nouns, and plurality. Participants will learn how to carry on small conversations in Spanish and each class will include interesting cultural anecdotes including Spanish word origin, dialect differences, and names in Spanish. Participants will continue with practical conversational components and builder phrases in Spanish enabling them to carry on small conversations related to giving and asking for directions and restaurant conversation. Vocabulary and grammar components will include weather, seasons, dates with months, days of the week, family vocabulary along with the verbs ser and tener conjugations. Real life scenarios will be introduced and role played in Spanish to ensure a dynamic and interactive learning environment. This will include present tense conjugation with ER & IR verbs, hobbies, sports, and workplace vocabulary in Spanish.
