This course focuses on water skills for children ages 3 to 5 that are ready to swim on their own! Students will build on their water skills and grow their independence. Promoting water safety from a young age will help to keep your child safe as they become more self-confident and believe in their abilities. Skills taught: Enter & Exit water from side Blow bubbles with nose (humming) Bobbing Front float for 3+ seconds Back float for 3+ seconds Jelly fish float for 3+ seconds Roll from back to front Roll from front to back Front glide (one body length) Back glide (one body length) “Scooping” and kicking on front 5 feet Flutter kicking on back 5 feet Elementary backstroke arms 5 feet (w/ support) Swim, Float, Swim 10 feet (w/ support) Jump in (w/ support) Follows Directions Water Safety Skills Note: Students who are still working on potty training MUST wear appropriate swim diapers and plastic covers. Students will be turned away if not wearing the appropriate swim diapers/covers.Parents MUST remain in the building during lessons and should stay within eyesight of the pool for quick contact if needed.

Basic Home Repair - Electrical
Home & Family
Learn about the basic home electrical system with this Hands-on class. We will review different gauges of wire, application and discuss proper techniques for stripping wire, attaching to outlets, switches and light fixtures. You will wire up a circuit with single pole & 3-way switches, outlet and light fixture. Then we will test the circuit with proper testing equipment. Bring straight & Phillips screwdrivers, long nose pliers and wire stripping pliers to class if you have them. Handouts provided with the class. Imagine! All your photos organized and a system in place that allows you to access any photo in literally seconds! This class will address the unique needs of Millennials, GenX and Baby Boomers as every generation's photo situation is different. This includes, slides, negatives, VHS, film movies, prints, & old memorabilia. We will talk about AI (Artificial Intelligence), scanners, cloud storage, digitizing & restoration of older photos. Raider Puzzle Palooza

Calling all jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts! Come join us for our jigsaw puzzle competition! Sign up with family or friends and see how fast you can connect the pieces. Each team will put together the same 500-piece puzzle. Sign up for one of two competition categories: Adult: For teams of up to four adults/children over the age of 13. At least one team member must be 18+. Family: For teams of up to four, including at least one child under the age of 13. At least one adult must also be on all teams in this division. Teams may contain between 2 and 4 members. The use of puzzle sorting trays is not allowed. Registration fees are per household, and include the puzzle. Prizes will be awarded! Ages 5-Adult Registration: The cost to register is $45 per team. Only one participant needs to register for their whole team. When prompted to "choose attendee" only select the team captain who is registering. The registering participant will be asked for the other team member's names later during the check-out process. Your team may compete with less than four members, however you will still be competing against full teams. Check-in will begin at 12:30pm and the competition will start at 1:00pm. Light refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase (cash or credit card accepted). There will be a puzzle swap table at the event. Please bring in your gently used puzzles to swap them for others that are new to you! Complete set of competition rules will be sent to teams after registration. Competition Rules

Raised Bed Square Foot Gardening

Growing your own vegetables can be easy and fun with a Raised Bed Square Foot Garden! The class covers: getting started, choosing a raised bed that’s right for you, planting and harvesting advice, rotating crops, and choosing companion plants. Container gardening will also be discussed. Plus, receive a 3-year garden journal with tips, planning pages and record keeping for your personal garden. Suitable for any level of experience. Should I stay and age in place - making home modifications to reduce safety risks or should I go - moving to a home option that my be handicapped accessible, single level living? We will take an assessment and give you the tools to make educated decisions.
