Roseville Community Education Program

As your child is exploring growing independence, these classes will provide opportunities to practice social skills, early literacy and math skills, science, creative art and more! The classroom will have engaging learning centers for all ages. Parents will have the opportunity to develop connections with other parents and learn how to support your child's needs.

The entire class is devoted to parent and child activities including dramatic play, sensory experiences, gym play, science, art projects and more. Each week will be filled with many creative and engaging learning activities for the whole family! Birth-5 years. NO NEED TO REGISTER, no fee required. Just come and sign in at the door. Mondays at Parkview Center School (no class Feb 21) Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Prince of Peace Church (No class Tues, Jan 18, 25 or Mar 15, or Wed, Jan 19, 26 or Mar 16) Saturdays at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center (No class Jan 22 or 29, Feb 19, Mar 12 or 19)

Enjoy special time with your grandchild followed by a discussion on grandparenting in today's world. Birth-5 years. *Sign each child up individually for class, and select yourself as the attending adult.

This music class is for the youngest musicians—lap babies, crawlers and first walkers. You and your little one will explore the world of music through children’s folk songs, nursery rhymes, lullabies, age-appropriate instruments and movement. Connect with other families and expand your home musical repertoire while you begin to nurture a musical bond with your baby.

Join us to discuss Michaeleen Doucleff's book "Hunt, Gather, Parent: What Ancient Cultures Can Teach Us About the Lost Art of Raising Happy, Helpful Little Humans". Learn how parents build relationships with children based on cooperation instead of control, trust instead of fear, and personalized needs instead of development milestones. *The book is available to borrow from the Early Childhood Program. Discussion will be held virtually on Zoom.

Explore the classroom, sing songs, read books, enjoy creative and messy projects and more during class just for toddlers and parents. In this non-separating class, discussions are held in the classroom where you can connect with other parents on topics such as language acquisition, routines, nutrition, the importance of play, dealing with tantrums and child development. Ages as of January 1, 2022.

After circle time of music and movement, the parent educator will lead discussions on topics such as sharing, independence, potty training, effective discipline techniques and self esteem.
