  • Introduction to Glassblowing

    This class is great for beginners without any experience! The students will learn safety fundamentals, tool and torch usage, solid rod welding and gathering, color application, shaping, and more. Students can potentially create things such as small sculptural items, marbles, paper weights, plant rods, or anything else that can be thought of with the skills learned. Let your creativity guide you! Attire Requirements: No sandals or open footwear – shoes must be fully enclosed from toe to heel No loose sleeves and long dangling necklaces/bracelets Tops and/or sweaters must be zipped, buttoned, or closed while around the working area Long hair must be tied back Please come to class fed and hydrated – standing is required for the duration of the class for optimal safety. (A chair may be provided to lean on if needed for medical reasons) Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. Late Registration: If you miss the deadline but are still interested, you can contact the Community Ed office by emailing us at CommunityEd@isd623.org or calling: 651-604-3770. Space may be limited, but we'll try our best to accommodate late registrations. Refund Policy If you need to cancel your registration, in order to receive a refund, you must notify Roseville Area Schools Community Education at least one (1) week prior to start date of the class/event/camp/activity, and that I will be issued a refund minus a $5 service charge. Registrations are not refunded in the event of a weather cancellation.
