Ceramics Wheel Throwing
Learn the basics of creating pottery on the wheel. This class is designed for the beginner as well as individuals who wish to continue developing their skills on the potter’s wheel. Each class will include a demonstration and independent work time. The instructor will assist you with developing basic throwing skills as well as advanced techniques. Participants will learn how to create cylinders, bowls, vases, mugs, and more. This is a great class to learn at your own pace and have fun. Learn how to care/maintain a sourdough starter, observe a bread dough making demonstration, and get answers to the most common questions made while making sourdough. You will get ALL of Sandra's tips/tricks associated with sourdough bread making focused on keeping the process simple and manageable for anyone interested in making sourdough bread. This 90 minute in-person Sourdough Starter workshop includes a fresh active starter and printed copy of the essential information for each registered participant. Please ensure you select the pool that best fits your child's needs: Aŋpétu Téča Education Center has a warm-water pool maintained at 86°F year-round. With a depth ranging from 3 feet 6 inches to 5 feet, this 4-lane, 25-yard pool provides a comfortable learning environment for younger swimmers or those new to lessons. Parkview Pool is kept at a cooler temperature, ideal for lap swimming, water exercise, and competitive swim. This 6-lane, 25-yard pool also features a 3–5 foot depth and includes an 11-foot diving well. Please note: Diving skills are taught only at the Parkview Pool due to the availability of the diving well. Parents MUST remain in the building during lessons and should stay within eyesight of the pool for quick contact if needed. *Please note that there is no possibility to pro-rate fees, switch or make-up dates*

Linocut Relief Printing

Realize your true artistic abilities by learning how to create linocuts! With all forms of printmaking, it’s easy to print one image multiple times, with each print varying just slightly in appearance. By carving images into a linoleum block, you will carve out your place in the world of printmaking, rising to the ranks of other great print artists. Friendship Connection
Friendship Connection is the district's school-age childcare program that provides care before and after school, on non-school days, and during the summer. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and offer our students opportunities in areas such as science, engineering, creative arts, cooking, sports/fitness, language arts, and technology. Registration for School Year 2025-26 is now open. Registration for Summer 2026 and School Year 2026-27 will open February 23, 2026. All registrations will take time to process. We will contact you if your registration is on hold due to staffing. If your site is on a waitlist due to staffing, you may still submit your registration and we will contact you with the potential start date (if staffing is available) or an update regarding the site you are enrolled at.

These aquatics sessions are designed for children ages 9 months to 5 years old! Children are accompanied by a parent or adult in the pool as they learn to enjoy and explore the water. Promoting water safety from a young age will help to keep your child safe as they become more self-confident and believe in their abilities. The pool can also provide a lot of entertainment and enjoyment for young ones! Lucky Little Treats: St. Patrick’s Day Cookie Decorating Workshop

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a little sweetness and a lot of charm! In this fun, hands-on class, you’ll decorate 10 adorable mini cookies with festive St. Patrick’s Day designs using royal icing. Learn step-by-step techniques to create beautifully detailed treats—perfect for sharing, gifting, or keeping all to yourself! This class is ideal for beginners with no decorating experience but also includes plenty of creative tips and tricks for those with some icing know-how. Plus, you’ll take home the cookie and icing recipes so you can keep the luck (and deliciousness) going at home! Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. Mandala Coasters with Acrylic Studio Art

A Mandala Coasters class focuses on creating intricate and artistic designs inspired by the traditional mandala patterns, commonly representing harmony and balance. Participants will learn how to draw or paint mandala patterns, often starting from a central point and expanding outwards with geometric shapes and symbols. The class may cover various techniques using dotting tools and acrylic paints. Take home two beautiful hand-made coasters. By Acrylic Studio Art

Mar10: Mario Kart Tournament
Events
Rev up for a night of Mario-themed fun in celebration of MAR10 Day! Families are invited to race, play, and cheer each other on during our Mario Kart Tournament on the Nintendo Switch. Participants will race in age-group divisions running at the same time, with multiple Switch systems set up throughout the space: Mario Kart Racing Stations Mini Mushrooms: Grades K–3 (100cc, family-friendly settings) Super Stars: Grades 4–6 (150cc standard play) Rainbow Racers: Grades 7+ & Adults (150cc or higher) Racers will rotate through short Grand Prix rounds, earning points toward their age-group leaderboard. Winners will be announced at the end of the event. Bonus Activities While You Wait Families can also enjoy a simple Mario-themed craft and mini games while waiting for their race time. Who Can Attend: This is a Family Event! All racers must have a parent or guardian remain on site for the duration of the event. Registration is required only for participants who plan to race. Space is limited; additional spectators may be restricted if capacity is reached. Costumes encouraged! Come dressed as your favorite Mario character. Please note: Age divisions may be adjusted or combined based on registration numbers to ensure the best experience for all participants.

Perfect for any occasion—baby showers, graduations, weddings, birthdays, and more. You will be the talk at the party with these beautiful, delectable treats! You will learn how to make, bake, fill, and decorate them in different flavors, colors, and fillings. Each student leaves with a lovely box of finished macarons. Mending
Art
Repair and extend the life of your clothing by learning basic mending techniques, including patching tears and holes, fixing ripped seams, sewing on a button, and hemming. Week 2, bring your own mending project to work on, including supplies. Students should have basic hand sewing skills. You will need to bring your own sewing machine! Mending Supply List: woven fabric scraps for practicing, any size/shape one or two buttons, any kind hand sewing needle thread scissors mending project and related materials and equipment (bring to second class) Late Registration: Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. Microwave Mug Cakes
Cooking
Students will make their own individual mug cakes using simple ingredients like flour, cocoa or vanilla, milk, and a little sugar. Each child mixes the ingredients in a mug and microwaves it to create a warm, single-serving cake in just a few minutes. This activity teaches measuring, following directions, and kitchen safety while giving kids a fun, delicious treat to enjoy. This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school.

Mindful Movement Kids Yoga Club with The Mindfulness Movement

Embark on an exciting adventure into the world of yoga and mindfulness, specially designed for kids! Through playful poses, imaginative games, and creative activities, children will build essential skills to manage stress, improve focus, and cultivate a sense of calm. Presented by The Mindfulness Movement. Each week, students will dive into a new theme using yoga poses, breathing exercises, and engaging games. From Balance Challenges and Yoga Freeze Dance to Mindful Art Activities, every session is filled with fun and discovery. Your child will even take home mindfulness journaling prompts and reflections to continue their mindfulness journey beyond class!

Minecraft Mod Development with Tech Academy

Online Virtual Class: Customize your gaming experience! Learn to make Java mods for Minecraft Java Edition Minecraft using MCreator. Basic computer skills are required. Minecraft is a Mojang Studios trademark. This class is not affiliated with them. Home Technical Requirements: Computer: PC (Windows 10 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GB of RAM Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones DO NOT Work. Internet: Broadband internet Webcam, Microphone and Speakers Zoom Installed on Computer, zoom link will be sent before class. Students should be comfortable using a PC, mouse, and keyboard. Additional Technical Requirement: MCreator (download instructions and setup information will be provided before class) Minecraft Java Edition ($30, not required for the class, but is needed to use the mods later) To ensure classes run as scheduled, registration for all Youth Enrichment programs will close the Wednesday before the start date.
