This course focuses on water skills for children ages 3 to 5 that are ready to swim on their own! Students will build on their water skills and grow their independence. Promoting water safety from a young age will help to keep your child safe as they become more self-confident and believe in their abilities. Skills taught: Enter & Exit water from side Blow bubbles with nose (humming) Bobbing Front float for 3+ seconds Back float for 3+ seconds Jelly fish float for 3+ seconds Roll from back to front Roll from front to back Front glide (one body length) Back glide (one body length) “Scooping” and kicking on front 5 feet Flutter kicking on back 5 feet Elementary backstroke arms 5 feet (w/ support) Swim, Float, Swim 10 feet (w/ support) Jump in (w/ support) Follows Directions Water Safety Skills Note: Students who are still working on potty training MUST wear appropriate swim diapers and plastic covers. Students will be turned away if not wearing the appropriate swim diapers/covers.Parents MUST remain in the building during lessons and should stay within eyesight of the pool for quick contact if needed.

Extreme Robotics: Battlebots with Tech Academy

This camp will energize and excite students by combining the LEGO® building system's versatility and the Mindstorms EV3 (the most sophisticated microcomputer brick ever made by LEGO®). Working each day in teams, students will construct fun LEGO® models, experiment with programs, and compete in robotic challenges. Robot building, block programming, and teamwork will be part of each day's activities. The final challenges will be centered around hitting targets and a sumo battle. Engineering: Crazy Action Contraptions with Tech Academy

Unleash your imagination as you journey through the wide-ranging world of LEGO® building. Students working in pairs will build models and discuss the engineering science behind each. This fun, hands-on class shows students how engineering can be fun and silly yet still educational. Students will then be challenged to improve the model and customize their creations. Intro to Computer Science with Python with Tech Academy

Get a great head start in learning how to code as well as learning computer science concepts using one of the fundamental programming languages of professional developers: Python. Its syntax allows programmers to express concepts in fewer lines of code than possible in languages such as C++ or Java, making it the perfect coding language for beginners. Video Production for Youtube: Podcasting & Vlogging with Tech Academy

Learn how to produce a YouTube video podcast! You will become familiar with the ins and outs of creating your podcast. Explore ideas, make a script map, and more. We will also go over refining your audio using Audacity. Edit your video, add transitions, and insert a soundtrack. Then, share your finished video with the world.
