It’s often said that Mother Nature is a great artist, but have you ever made art out of nature itself? Learn about the arts of collage and assemblage as we show you how to use natural park materials to create your own scene

Every year the Minnesota State Fair showcases seed mosaics created by artists all over the state. In our seed mosaic workshop, participants will continue this great tradition by creating their own works of seed art. Participants will learn about the history and techniques of mosaic art and create a design of their own. Once completed, participants will share their designs with their fellow seed artists and share this Minnesotan art form with their family and friends! Learn how to paint the perfect woodland scene, featuring birch trees and accompanying leaves, using a few simple techniques and materials. You will be guided, step-by step, through the painting process and be introduced to the art terms and techniques related to this project. Gelli prints offer an exciting new take on monoprinting! In this class, you'll explore nontraditional printmaking techniques as you create a series of unique prints using gelatin plates. By combining natural materials, stencils, and paint, you'll have the opportunity to experiment with layers and delve into the beauty of organic shapes and textures.
