School age child care located in all the district elementary schools.
Students will make their own individual mug cakes using simple ingredients like flour, cocoa or vanilla, milk, and a little sugar. Each child mixes the ingredients in a mug and microwaves it to create a warm, single-serving cake in just a few minutes. This activity teaches measuring, following directions, and kitchen safety while giving kids a fun, delicious treat to enjoy.
This enrichment class is run in partnership with our school-age care program, Friendship Connection, which helps us keep costs low and offer engaging opportunities before and after school.
