Ceramics Wheel Throwing
Learn the basics of creating pottery on the wheel. This class is designed for the beginner as well as individuals who wish to continue developing their skills on the potter’s wheel. Each class will include a demonstration and independent work time. The instructor will assist you with developing basic throwing skills as well as advanced techniques. Participants will learn how to create cylinders, bowls, vases, mugs, and more. This is a great class to learn at your own pace and have fun. No class on September 23 or November 4. Pick up date: December 2.Supply fee of $25 payable to the instructor. Space may be limited, but we'll try our best to accommodate late registrations. Art
Develop and improve your sewing skills while working on a project of your choice. Students who have completed the Introduction, Beginning, or Intermediate sewing classes will receive instructor support, guidance, and extra help with challenging techniques, pattern instructions, or finishing an already started project. You will need to bring your own sewing machine! Come sew with us! Whether you are finally tackling those unfinished projects, need help with a tricky technique, or want to show off your latest sewing triumph, it’s always more fun sewing with friends. Bring a project of your choice to work on, sewing machine, and supplies. You may bring a snack to share if you choose. All sewers welcome. Water Exercise
This is a low-impact, intensive aerobic workout in shallow water that utilizes the resistance of the water and equipment to strengthen, tone, and stretch muscles. Participants must be able to maintain balance without assistance for the duration of class.

Mending
Art
Repair and extend the life of your clothing by learning basic mending techniques, including patching tears and holes, fixing ripped seams, sewing on a button, and hemming. Week 2, bring your own mending project to work on, including supplies. Students should have basic hand sewing skills. Mending Supply List: woven fabric scraps for practicing, any size/shape one or two buttons, any kind hand sewing needle thread scissors mending project and related materials and equipment (bring to second class) Registration for all class sessions closes 3 days before the start date. Learn how to thread your sewing machine, how to read a pattern, sewing terms and equipment, and basic sewing techniques to sew a tote bag in class. Perfect for those with little or no sewing experience. You will need to bring your own sewing machine! $10 supply fee payable to the instructor. Under age 18 must be enrolled with an adult. Sewing: Beginning Apparel
Art
Build on your sewing skills and learn how to read and use a pattern to create a garment of your choice in class. Classes consist of group instruction and demonstrations to further explore terms, techniques, and materials as well as time to work on your own project with instructor guidance. Week 1, bring sewing machine and basic supplies.Week 2, students will meet at a local fabric store. Week 3-6, bring sewing machine, supplies, and project materials. Students should be comfortable threading and using their sewing machine. *Under age 18 must be enrolled with an adult. You will need to bring your own sewing machine! Sewing: Intermediate Apparel; Knits
Art
Have you felt intimidated or scared to sew with knit fabrics? Or been frustrated when you’ve tried? We’ll demystify knits and eliminate frustrations and sew a garment of your choice in class that you’ll wear with pride. Students should be comfortable with machine sewing and familiar working with and reading patterns. Week 1, bring sewing machine and basic supplies. Week 2-6, bring sewing machine, supplies, and project materials. You will need to bring your own sewing machine! Int Apparel Sewing Supply List: Sewing machine in good working order with bobbin -must have zigzag stitch function Knit fabric to practice on and test stitches (can be yardage, fabric scraps, an old t-shirt, etc) One package assorted size Ballpoint needles Thread Scissors Pins Ruler or seam gauge Tape measure Fabric marking pen or pencil Seam ripper Please budget $25-$50 for pattern, fabric, and notions for your class project - selections will be made after first class.
