You work your whole career with the goal of someday retiring. This seminar covers the crucial years leading up to your retirement date, the active years of your retirement, and the winding down of your retirement years. Subjects will include: (i) Estate planning while working, during retirement and at the end of life, (ii) When to take your Social Security, (iii) Key financial products and services available in the market (Medicaid complaint annuities, Long Term Care Insurance, Life Insurance Long Term Care Riders), (iv) What to look for in a professional (Financial Advisor, CFP, RIA, Fiduciary)?, and (v) the final plans before the end – what can be too little too late? Please bring your questions, this class is an interactive forum.

Steve Ledin

Steve is a founding member and partner of Blaney & Ledin. Ltd., a small business and estate planning focused law firm based in the east metro area.Steve cut his legal teeth with his start in the legal profession at Moore, Costello & Hart PLLP, a twin cities based law firm that laid claim to being the oldest law firm in the State of Minnesota, founded in 1855. In 2007, Steve and his fellow law firm partner Jim Blaney formed Blaney & Ledin to enhance their specialization and representation of the legal interests their small business and estate planning clients.Steve practices extensively in the areas of estate planning and corporate transactional law and provides legal advice to startup and developing companies, as well as mature small to medium sized companies.His services in estate planning services cover a wide spectrum of clients varying in estate size, value, and complexity from young couples starting a life together, up to large well-established estates of significant value and complexity.In the transactional business area he provides services on a wide variety of legal matters including business formation; mergers and acquisitions; buy-sell agreements; contract review and negotiation, real estate purchasing/leasing; and business succession. He works with dozens families and active businesses of a wide variety on a daily and weekly basis.

In addition to Steve’s skill, expertise and experience as a business attorney, his entrepreneurial spirit and extensive business operational experience also serves as a draw for his clients.Steve’s entrepreneurial experience began in the 1980s with his extensive Burger King operations.In fact, it was his Burger King business experiences that triggered the desire to attend law school at William Mitchell College of Law.Steve graduated with a Juris Doctor (Magna Cum Laude) in 1997, after graduating from Saint Cloud State University and Macalester College with a Bachelor of Arts-Political Science (Summa Cum Laude).

Today, Steve is the owner/proprietor of a number of active businesses and is the proudCo-Founder and Chair of the Board of Lowertown Hospitality Group, a restaurant holding company that includes Red Savoy Pizza franchises.

Steve serves on the boards of a number of closely held companies and Minnesota non-profit corporations.Steve is an active participant in numerous associations and organizations including the Midway Chamber of Commerce, East Side Area Business Association, Small Business Connections, TouchPoint Resource Pool,as well as state and local professional and trade organizations.

Steve lives in the east metro area with his wife Dawn, a professional florist, and his 13 year old black lab Bob.
