Learn to Sew

Youth Enrichment / Creative Arts -
Summer 2024

Nena will teach students how to sew, including basic techniques, knowledge of sewing tools, types of stitches, and how to use a sewing machine. Students will create a sketch of garments and sew a project of their own creation. Student can work at their own pace to sew new and exciting projects!

Nena Rivas

Doremi (Nena) Tinoco is an apparel designer. Her love of fashion stems from three generations of women working with fashion in her home country of Venezuela. She has been working in the area for the last 23 years. Now she has her own atelier (studio) where she teaches all about sewing and the fashion world.
