Roseville Community Education Program

Early childhood time focuses on developing literacy, math and social/emotional skills through play and learning activities. Parent education focuses on topics relevant to a preschooler and preparing children for kindergarten. Every registered family will receive a free Learning Bag, which will include materials for the ECFE class.

As your child is exploring growing independence, these classes will provide opportunities to practice social skills, early literacy and math skills, science, creative art and more! The classroom will have engaging learning centers that will develop school readiness skills. Parents will have the opportunity to develop connections with other parents and learn how to support your child's needs. *Class size limited for safety precautions. *One adult per family may participate. *Masks are required for ages five and up, and encouraged for ages 2-5. *Classes will include 45 minutes of parent/child time and 45 minutes of parent discussion time (separating for parenting).

This is a non-separating class (child and parent together for entire class). Children and parents engage in singing, playing and learning activities as well as enjoying time in the large motor room. These classes are for you if you and your child are not ready to separate or simply prefer to stay together. * Masks required for ages five and up, encouraged for ages 2-5. Ages Birth-5 Years

Using the book Playful Parenting by Lawrence J Cohen, join us for 9 weeks of lively discussion addressing a new approach to raising children that will: Nurture close connections Solve behavior problems Encourage confidence Parents and guardians, please register yourself as a participant (not your child). Books are available to borrow from the ECFE program.

You and your two-year-old will share time together enjoying painting, sensory activities, singing, playing with new toys and building creations! After circle time of music and movement, the parent educator will lead discussions on topics such as sharing, independence, potty training, effective discipline techniques and self esteem. *Class size limited for safety precautions. *One adult per family may participate. *Masks are required forages five and up, and encouraged for ages 2-5. *Classes will include 45 minutes of parent/child time and 45 minutes of parent discussion time (separating for parenting).
