Build on your sewing skills and learn how to read and use a pattern to create a garment of your choice in class. Classes consist of group instruction and demonstrations to further explore terms, techniques, and materials as well as time to work on your own project with instructor guidance. Repair and extend the life of your clothing by learning basic mending techniques, including patching tears and holes, fixing ripped seams, sewing on a button, and hemming. Week 2, bring your own mending project to work on, including supplies. Students should have basic hand sewing skills. You will need to bring your own sewing machine!
