This course focuses on water skills for children ages 3 to 5 that are ready to swim on their own! Students will build on their water skills and grow their independence. Promoting water safety from a young age will help to keep your child safe as they become more self-confident and believe in their abilities. Skills taught: Enter & Exit water from side Blow bubbles with nose (humming) Bobbing Front float for 3+ seconds Back float for 3+ seconds Jelly fish float for 3+ seconds Roll from back to front Roll from front to back Front glide (one body length) Back glide (one body length) “Scooping” and kicking on front 5 feet Flutter kicking on back 5 feet Elementary backstroke arms 5 feet (w/ support) Swim, Float, Swim 10 feet (w/ support) Jump in (w/ support) Follows Directions Water Safety Skills Note: Students who are still working on potty training MUST wear appropriate swim diapers and plastic covers. Students will be turned away if not wearing the appropriate swim diapers/covers.

You will pick your design, fabric, and embellishments to create your one of a kind Squishmallow! We will be using sewing machines, and there will be some hand sewing. Full day option includes both AM and PM camps as well a variety of activities including move and groove time, team building, recess, snack and lunch provided by Nutrition Services AM Camp Only Ultimate Frisbee 9:30am-11:30am Ultimate Frisbee: Come to a week of ULTIMATE fun! In ultimate frisbee, players pass the disc between teammates, trying to score in the end zone. The other team plays defense, trying to disrupt play and intercept the disc. This is a non-contact sport with lots of running, jumping, throwing, and catching. PM Camp Only Summer Olympic Games 1:30pm-3:30pm Summer Olympic Games: Athletes from around the world will come to Paris to compete in the Summer Olympics! Learn about different cultures, participate in sports from across the world, and watch the best of the best as they compete. This is a backstage pass to the Olympics that you won't want to miss. From sugar scrubs to soaps we will try them all! PM Camp Only Special FX Make Up 1:30pm-3:30pm Special FX Make Up: Turn your friends into zombies and your favorite movie monsters. Students will get to learn and practice a variety of special fx makeup designs and show off their own skills in special fx, theatrical, and cosplay makeup! 5-8 Trollhaugen Adventure Park Field Trip

Conquer your fears and get a blast of adrenaline at Trollhaugen's adventure park. We'll climb, jump, hang, and zip while building self-confidence, having a great time, and enjoying the beautiful views. Trollhaugen was established in 1950 and offers year-round outdoor activities. A parent/guardian must drop-off to sign a waiver. All participants must wear closed-toe shoes and athletic clothes.

From the big thrills of the Corkscrew, Wild Thing, and Renegade to the excitement of bumper cars, the ferris wheel, and the Power Tower, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Try out Valleyfair's new North Star Ride... if you dare! Lunch is included in the ticket price. Valleyfair has gone cashless- if your student wants to bring cash there are machines available throughout the park to transfer cash onto a pre-paid gift card.

ASL 0.1: Simple American Sign Language
Community and Cultural Exploration
In this 1-day session, we will go over some of the basic signs for communicating in American Sign Language. We will work on numbers, letters, simple questions, and introducing ourselves. This session will include discussion-based learning and collective practice. All grade and experience levels are welcome to join.

Beginning Band Camp

For students who have completed 4th grade. After two weeks of daily lessons, five days a week, a beginning instrumentalist will be playing a rousing march with precision! Each day, students participate in music theory, band rehearsal, and a recreational period. It’s a great time to make new friends! Attendance the first week of camp is required. Host your child's next birthday party with us at Aŋpétu Téča Education Center! Your party will have access to the new Aŋpétu Téča Education Center gymnasium and one community room for gifts and cake. (Adult/parent supervision is required at all times) Your party will have access to a private community room rental for presents, cake, and celebration! Tables and chairs will be provided by us Your party will get exclusive access to our gymnasium for up to 3 hours, including set-up time! Choice of basketballs, dodgeballs, soccer balls, or hula hoops/jump ropes for your party to play with! Add-Ons: For an extra fee you can request $100 for an extra hour of party time $25 for additional equipment rental NEW!! $350 Pool Package: Up to 15 kids ($15 for each additional kid; max 30) There must be at least 2 adults in the water for every 15 kids ages 9+ There must be 1 adult for every 2 kids ages 8 and under All swimmers must adhere to all pool guidelines and follow any direction given by the lifeguards on duty. Glitter, sequins and jewels, oh my! We will be-dazzle all the art projects we craft in this camp. We’ll make tons of sparkly projects including bracelets, glittery snow globes, and a jewelry box. We will even glitter-fy our fingernails! Students will learn different art terms and techniques as they work with air-dry clay, Model Magic®, watercolors and more dazzling art supplies. Students are welcome to bring their own age-appropriate music to camp so they can listen to their favorite tunes while they bling it on! Each week we will meet to discuss the book and make crafts and play games. CP Spring Chess Club with CSGA
Academic
Whether you consider yourself a beginner or intermediate player, join this club to meet and interact with other chess players in your school and play on a weekly basis. If they are new to the game, players will learn the basic rules and strategies of chess. Tournament play is encouraged outside of the club, but not required. Players are able to complete a full game and recognize a checkmate and stalemate Players can set and use a chess clock during a game Players are able to resolve a disagreement with & w/o adults present Players can explain the rules of chess (movement of the pieces, checkmate, & stalemate)
